Well some of you know I had a little surgery in April that required me to be off work for 6 weeks. When I wanted to go back to work my boss said.....ummmmm you are scheduled for vacation in July and that is 6 weeks away so why dont you wait and come back then ( I was not actually given a choice) so after vacation I went in and asked for my hours back. She tells me well your son is having surgery in Aug so why dont you wait til that is over. Now mind you eveytime the girl who is working my hours needs a week off she calls and has me work. So this week my daughter had her wisdom teeth pulled, I cleared it with the boss (daughter and I work together) that I would cover her hours. I went in tonight to work and she tells me she doesnt need me. I told her I would have to look for another job and she said Why? I stated all of the facts and she said she has been trying her best to work around my schedule....I Said I have had it I am broke, and you keep blowing me off.....so I quit:( :( what the heck did I do.....you guys wanna buy my pins:( I am so upset. I have been there 9 years.....this really sucks. I know over the years I should have quit many many times as she loves to take advantage, but it was good pay and close to home. UGH!!!!

Needed to vent.....Its been a long summer here in Ohio.

Cindy- I do hope you can work all this out...I'm so sorry that it sounds like a big mess right now......prayers and pixie dust for you!

thanks for your kind words. I am sure it will all work out in the end.....just been a long time coming, and hard to do.

Cindy

Go ahead and vent, Cindy. I don't blame you. :(

It sounds like that boss of yours was trying to gently nudge you out, or trying to switch things so that you would be your replacement's backup instead of the other way around. I don't know if the job was PT, FT, or what, but it sounds like you're better off out of there anyway.

Good luck finding a new job. :)

What you need is a really cool Goofy pin and a lot of friends. Or is that you need a really cool pin and a lot of Goofy friends? I always seem to get that part mixed up.

I firmly believe that for every door that closes in your life, another one opens. (So if God is anything like my mother, I wonder if he is sitting around in heaven knitting and yelling, "What were you born in a barn? Shut that door! We aren't heating the outdoors you know. And by the way, you better get your room cleaned before your father comes home or I won't be there to save you. My word boy, your room looks like a pig sty!")

I think you will look back at this with gratitude for allowing you to find something better. We are here for you if you need someone to talk to. Eek! I ended a sentence in a preposition! Mrs. Litzenberger is probably rolling over in her grave. I can here her now, "I told that boy if he didn't shape up he would be making license plates by the time he was 30!"

Just come on out to the Pin Meet on Sunday and we will try and cheer you up!

You are probably better off in the long run. You will find someting else.

Cindy,

I'm sorry you got stuck in such a nasty situation, but you'll come out on top!

Go find yourself another job...with nice people, and tell your former boss to ........ fill in the blank!:smooth:  ;)

thanks so much for your words of wisdom and humor. I am baking a huge chocalate cake today, and I am gonna eat it all by myself......lol!! Not really but I am tempted.

Jeff your Mom and Mine must be sisters...;)

And I will take all the Goofy friends I can get...thats what makes the world go round.

Off to search the classified sections.

Thanks again everyone...

Love Ya All

Sounds like your boss was doodling you out the door anyway. I'd say your better off in the long run, even if it doesn't seem that way currently. Good luck with finding another job, hopefully with nicer coworkers. Pixie dust abounds, and feel free to vent.

Ashley

as both Matt and Ashley..I too think I was being nudged out. After all the new way to save your business money seems to be to nudge out the old higher paid employees for younger lower paid ones.....oh well....I am going to find something better., but in the mean time I shall enjoy these last three weeks of summer with my kids and start new come school time.

thanks for your kind words everyone
