...and cut all her hair off!:scared1: We leave for WDW in a week and my DD4 pulled a Britney on her beautiful blonde hair! :headache: She was in her bedroom working on some crafts (cutting out shapes and coloring them) when she came out and said , " I had to cut some of my hair, Mom." Her hair was about 3" below her shoulders and had the most beautiful waves. Now, she has a bob! I have to take her to the salon today to get it evened out and she's going to end up with a pixie cut when all is said and done. I know it will grow back and she doesn't seem too upset, but now I don't know what they're going to do at the BBB in a week.:confused3 She wanted the hairdo where they put in the extensions (not the colored ones) but now, I don't know if it will work. She went from Aurora to Tinkerbell in a matter of minutes! She is still adorably cute, but I LOVED her hair long! My DH says all little girls try cutting their own hair at some point in their lives. I know that I tried cutting my own bangs once, but I was, like 12, not 4! Apparently, growing up with 3 older brothers, my DH knows all about little GIRLS!:cutie: Thanks for letting me vent. This hair thing has me all upset even though I know there is nothing I can do about it.

Ok...my DD did this at the same age....she cut Barbie's hair first.....then I realized she cut one side of her hair off.....

Just to not panic....I know its hard!! :)

take her to a salon and have them even it out somehow like a cute little pixie cut. (duh you already said that)

Anyway....it grows back:) It will get easier to deal with trust me...and a great story to tell someday. DD is almost 11 now.....now we joke abt it:)

Have fun on your trip!

Growing up I had a friend whos mother took her dads razor and cut - no SHAVED - all her hair off. I don't know exactly how old she was at the time, but she did it! Did your DD have regular sizzors, or the safety ones? I can't believe safety ones would cut hair like that, but what do I know, I haven't used on of those in years! I'm sure she will look adorable with a pixie... I've had one for years, and I look darn cute..... :rotfl2: Anyway, sorry it happened, I'm sure its really upsetting, I love my DD2's hair because it is so beautiful, and I would be very upset if it were all of the sudden gone, but it will gown back! Just don't do a Britney and buy her a pink wig! :sad2:

hahaha! Hannah Montana.

Actually, when I was 4, I did this!

I had long beautiful blonde hair and my mom walked in and thought I was cutting barbies hair and then walked out.

She comes in and it was so uneven she had to go get it cut.
after that my hair was up above my ears and I looked like a guy!

It was horrible. Then when I was 11 I cut my bangs and that sucked also.
I learned my lesson now. LEAVE MY HAIR ALONE.

When my daughter was 2, my youngest brother, her uncle, who was only 4 at the time, used little monkey safety scissors, and cut off all of Jenn's hair. We still laugh about this, even tho it happened 20 years ago. So safety scissors do cut hair.

My DD did this when she was 3 (with hair past her shoulders). The worst part is that I was right by her! I was unloading the dishwasher, and she was doing some art stuff about 6 feet away. I walked past her and didn't even notice. Then I noticed some hair on the ground. Then I noticed it was a LOT of hair!:scared1: I started screaming "What did you do?" and she started crying hysterically because she knew she was in trouble. DH (who had still been in bed) came flying down the stairs, expecting someone to be bleeding to death, I think, from the way we were both screaming. :rotfl:

Once I calmed down and got her to a stylist, she ended up with the CUTEST bob, just above her chin. I loved it so much that we kept her hair that way for about a year and a half. Now she's 5 and wants long hair like a "princess."

I feel your pain on this one. My 3 year old did the same thing a few weeks ago. I've been trying to grow her bangs out so they were pretty long. She took the scissors to the middle of her bangs...to the scalp! Luckily the side of the bangs are still long and I can hide the short part but still! She made my blood boil! LOL

My DD8 did that to herself when she was about 3.......she gave herself a mullet!!!! LMAO!!! Yes, she did and NO I do not have pics. I wish I did now but back then I was a mess. I took her in and got her hair cut, it was so long and pretty and I was just so sad. lol But after the pixie cut it was still cute and she was still adorable. :) It did grow back and it's just as long as it was before, and it's just as pretty too.

My DB did this to my Dsis too. She has long strawberry blonde curls and he cut it off. It grew back but it's been thick, straight and red ever since.

Yep! Been there done that! In regards to BBB I thin they say *** long as you can get DD's hair into a ponytail you'l be fine. Granted I think that's for the princess updo. I'm sure they will be able to do something.

Yep, most little ones will try this at least once. My DS did it at about 3, my DD did it at about 5.

My neice did it around 4, she had long thick beautiful hair, that was all one length. She chopped of a a section of hair down to her scalp. The worst part was where she cut it, she wanted bangs! :lovestruc There was really no way to fix it, just had to wait for it to grow.

Don't forget to take pictures, before and after. ;)

Same thing happen to me with my DD.

It was the day we were leaving for Disney. Right before I brought the luggage to the car, I got the scissors and cut my then 2 year old DD's bangs. I then put down the scissors and started to pack up the car for our trip. Well, when I came back into the house, I got a surprise! She decided to cut them a little bit more! I couldn't believe it! Of all days to cut her bangs. Luckily it was only one clump in the middle and we could comb the rest of her bangs around to hide it.

We still had a great trip and got over it pretty fast. Now I remember it as a funny story.

Of course, when I was 5, I decided I didn't want bangs anymore and I just cut them off. Took a long time to grow back and I look rediculous!

Here's a couple of photos from that trip that kind of show the missing bangs in the middle:

both my dds did this to them when they were younger 3 or 4 but the worst time was when i was cutting my dds hair and she moved to look at something we lost a good 6inchs now i never cut her hair anymore oh ya this was just a year ago.:lmao:

YIKES :scared1:
I am scared of my dd doing this, so she doesn't get to play with sizzors.. besides a pair of plastic ones from her play dough set.

for BBB last year dd got the style w/ the wavy extensions and it was pretty much just a bun with a hair extension-pony-o aound it. So it may take a lot of hair spray, but I am sure they will be able to do something ;)

I remember once my little sister cut off a pigtail, and tried to trim her bangs - sge was about 3 or 4 at the time :scared1:

My oldest daughter cut her sister's hair with my sewing scissors (very sharp!) when they were supposed to be supervised by their dad. :rolleyes1 I found out that she went on a cutting rampage - her sister's hair, a stuffed animal's fur, a special baby quilt, her sister's shirt (that was being worn at the time!) and part of the rug in their bedroom too.

I asked them what daddy was doing during all of this - "watching hockey on TV"... They were 5 yrs old and 2 yrs old at the time!

Are sizzors a special type/brand of scissors?

Okay...I beat you all with this story: When my DH was a little boy (maybe 4yo) he tried to cut his younger sister's hair. Didn't get any hair but lopped off the top of her ear! They must of had a great ER doctor because he sewed it back on and now no one can remember which ear was Van-go'd.

I think all of us with little princesses go through the same thing. My daughter took nail scissors at 3 at chopped all of her curls off and handed them to me!!! I cried for weeks! She is four now and her hair has since grown back, just as blonde and curly - WHEW!

I can sympathize :sad2: . Don't forget Disney is a 'magical" place and BBB will be able to work with it. Good Luck!
