I'm sorry Maggimus, I'm not much help. I hate change as well so, I can identify with your feelings. My DH likes to buy "things" too. I prefer to spend money more on "time" aka vacations, activities with the kids, etc.
Now as far as homes....Yuh, I bought the one I grew up in! Sorry, I told you I wasn't much help. Now, dh is out of work and we MAY HAVE to move. IMO, buy bigger, better while you can, you can always sell, and buy smaller if you have to. Whatever the situation, talk it out, you two seem to be a wonderful couple. You'll decide togethre what is best for you both.
