Morning all!!

Ready for my rant (Bob I'm hoping you feel my pain)

So everyone got their invites yesterday (that I spent over 8 hours making by the way). Everyone I spoke to up unitl about 9 O'Clock loved them, and is so excited for the plans and happy to say 'yes' or 'maybe' and thinks its a great idea.

Until Jacks Mum phones, she just can't afford it (doens't know how much it is yet!) nor does she think his sisters can, or his aunt or cousins. She didn't even say 'thanks' or the colours are nice. Urgh!

It made me SO angry!!!!! She spent thousands on his sisters wedding, and ranted at me one day about how his sisters husbands family werent paying enough towards the wedding, and now not only is she not putting anything but misery into ours, she cant even spend £500 to fly to somehwere sunny for 4 days and watch her only son get married!! How can you tell 2 years in advance?? She'll spend hundreds on a painting or ugly sculpture, but on Jack? dont be silly!

Oh dear babe, MIL's LOL We were really worried Daves dad wouldnt be able to come we had planned to pay for him to fly but he would have to pay his own hotel but he is paying and in old tradition has offered to pay for my bouquet

Im sure she will come round, you can find really cheap flights to florida if you really look round. Its so upsetting when people are so negative from the begining hope you are ok though hun.

Yay for every one else liking them though

Morning all.

It's now officially less than three weeks to Disney, but I can't seem to get excited about it. :sad2: 'Lost' my first ever job a couple of weeks ago, been there six years, so trying to write a CV, work out who my second reference could be, looking for vacancies and stressing over going to interviews :scared1: (never had one before) and really not feeling the Disney vibe!

Any amazing tips for enjoying Disney (4 days with HB+) without spending too much money?

Have about 140E left over from our last trip which I don't think I can really add to...

TIP
Have a big breakfast take some rolls ham etc for lunch and then use you half board + for dinner then you wont have to worry about food :rotfl:

Go in the shops when busy you'll be less likely to buy (well I do any way)

I lost my 1st job when I got back from WDW in October and lost my second when I got hime from DLRP in January I have been writting CVs and going on endless interviews so I know how you feel.

I hope you find some thing soon though. Good Luck looking.

Thanks, good luck to you too.
Changing career track so trying to think of all my (seemingly non-existent) 'transferable' skills! Argh!

Thanks for all the advice, I guess we kinda splurged on souvenirs and treats on our first trip in August, so hopefully won't be too hard to rein it in and not feel too worried about it.

Worst of it all is we'll probably miss out on Dream Passports and 40% off this year! LOL

I went shopping today, spent too much money LOL!

Off to get Kyra now then crack on with the housework oh joy!

Thanks, good luck to you too.

Thanks sweetie

I'm calming down now. It's jsut so selfish!!

Evening all, I have just got back from a day at the seaside with my class. We went to the sealife centre then played on the beach. Quite a few of my class had never been to the seaside before!!

Hi Leanne

Do you have to go on the course to become a TA? I am only asking because I am a TA and although i am studying now, I didn't need any TA specific qualifications to get my job. Some schools will take you on and help you train once you are working in there.

Hi to everyone else-not been on for a few days as had another assignment to write-posted off now thank goodness!! hope everyone's OK x

IT'S 11 MONTHS TODAY UNTIL I GET MARRIED!

I know it is sweetie..... Robert's Mum is like that all the time. She's still ranting on about how selfish we are not getting married when its hot 'cause she hates the cold (Her response when I told her hot weather makes ill? "Doesn't matter- Everyone else would like it."... Bearing in mind I'm the Bride!)..... I'll be there if you want an MIL moan..... I've got a lot of bullets in my belt on that one so I'll happily listen and moan along too! :goodvibes

evening all

ash had a nap today so is in bed watching alice in wonderland and has no intention of going to sleep lol.

Evening Small World, how are you? I'm shattered, I took 28 8/9 year olds to the seaside today!!

im fine thanks just very tired - Ive had another busy day at work. We're off down to visit DS in Cambridge this weekend so Im trying to pack what we need - its easier than doing it in secret from DD :rotfl:

I saw your last post about your trip - where did you go?

We went to Hunstanton, it is about 2 hours away from where we live.

You're very good taking your class out so often. Most of our teachers grumble about a once a year trip. Mind you, when I worked in a class, I hated school trips too. The responsibility of having that many 5 year olds out was just too jangling for my nerves. You spend so much of the day counting heads that I used to end up counting children in my sleep.

Your comment about children never having been to the seaside reminds me of reading a book with one child (the one where Floppy and Chip go to the sea  ) who looked at the picture, then turned to me in amazement and said "There is water at the seaside?"
