No but when they give you less then 24 hours notice to arrange doing something it really annoys me.
 
they always do every thing last minute its so annoying grrr
 
Not sure how i would of gotten a eurostar ticket for tomorrow in such short notice anyway.

You cant bunk these types of trains lol.

Just tried to phone and they aren't open til 9:15am on a Saturday, so going to try again in 5 minutes.
Going to start off with 'I want to make enquiries about cancelling my holiday' and take it from there, not expecting too much but I will kick myself if I don't even try. Hotel New York (which we originally priced up and was outside our budget) is coming up cheaper than what we are paying for the Sequoia Lodge, if they upgraded us I'd be happy with that as would DD2!

Just phoned, no joy at all. She was quite happy for me to cancel and to lose the £358 deposit, rebook and paying another deposit which I just can't do. She wasn't interested in doing anything apart from getting me to cancel, said it was shareholders price and if I wanted 'regular' prices I should have said!!
Not sure whether to try again later and see if someone else has anything to offer.

Yes I'm prepared for the same answer, guess it just surprised me how happy she was to cancel straight off without even asking what the reason was.

Guess I'd better go and see if the washer has finished, need to pop into town and get some potatoes and eggs, DS has just left to meet some friends and go and watch Crewe play.

Unfortunately, DLRP seems to be a little like how the national rail used to be known for (though they've improved a little now):

1) You only get the prices you actively ask for and name correctly, plus it's made harder to get some (such as shareholders, room only, castle club, suites etc) as you have to phone them rather than being able to enquire online.

2) If you change your mind later on then you can't just move your booking - you have to pay an admin fee (in this case by losing the old deposit).

Personally I wish DLRP would become a lot more transparent with their prices and make it easier to work out for sure what is cheaper.

I'm just stopping by quickly, I won't be around today as we are going to Southend in a few minutes to my nephews 1st birthday party.

To be honest Diane thats probably a good attitude to take or you'll just continue to be frustrated at the price.

Someone else has just mentioned about the 40% being online only which probably means paying it all at once anyhow rather than just the deposit
