OT: Lego Toy Story sets

What a bummer. I just sent DH out to our TRU and while he is en route I called. They say they don't have them.

They always say that. I don't think they ever check.

We were talking about this on another board and a bunch of people posted that used to work retail or still do and they all said they were so busy that they would put you on hold long enough to seem like they checked and then pick the phone back up and say "no we don't have any"

So now I just check the store.

I have to see about these, we love toy story.

Three more sets will go on sale in late spring (warning: these are based on Toy Story 3 and give away some new characters/scenes from the movie).

Also, there will DUPLO Toy Story sets in the fall, including a Pizza Planet truck.

I'm SO glad to hear there will be DUPLO sets!

OMG! Why did i open this thread? DD is a lego and toy story addict! She is 11 but can't stop plaything with this kind of stuff. i am going to go to my local TRY and target tonight to see if they have any of the sets. It would make for a very special christmas.

Well, I was in Target today buying Legos and they definitely didn't have Toy Story ones. I live in southern NH. If anyone finds some around here, please let me know! They would make a great Christmas present!

Target in Taunton, MA had the Woody Jail one ($50)and the green army men ($11). I thought that I was done with Christmas shopping. I guess not.

Friend saw them at the Watchung Toysrus in NJ so it seems to be hit or miss- some stores are putting them out- others saying not until Jan 1.

Well, I picked up the Buzz today at TRU, they had a couple left on the shelf at $26.99.

Target.com has three of the sets (including Buzz) guaranteed to arrive before xmas, so I just ordered those as well. Woohoo! Nicholas is going to be so excited, thanks OP for telling us about this!! Oh I wish I knew if my son would actually like/want these.

He is only 10, loves Legos, but he may think these Legos are for younger kids. He is 10 going on 15, if you know what I mean!

He is really only into the Star Wars and Indiana Jones lego sets now.

Toy s r us in Paramus on 17 has the woody jail set, build your own buzz and the buzz space craft set.

Target at the Bergen Mall (towne center whatever it's called now) has the set with buzz, woody and rc.

i got one of the jail sets and one of the RC sets. DD will be syched to get these christmas morning. i really want to give them to her now but need to be strong for one more week.

Woohoo! ExDH found the Woody's Roundup set and Green Army Men at TRU in Albany...he said they had all five sets. I can find out the exact store if anyone needs it.
