Wow - the films looked amazing. There wasn't the typical "let's make you jump b/c you think something is flying at you" nonsense. The 3D just made you feel more immersed in the world of the movies. The glass were also sturdy - not the cheap kind.

We went to see it tonight too. Excellent!:thumbsup2

We didn't see Up in 3D because DH was afraid it would make him queasy. The 3D glasses and attractions in the parks are so very different than this superb quality new 3D. And the glasses are sturdy- and don't have wavy lenses. ;)

We loved the teaser for Toy Story 3! Can't wait for June! :cool1:

We loved it! We had planned to go pick apples and pumpkins, but it was too cold and rainy. So, we headed to the mall and there was a showing in 20 minutes. Our 3 year old has never been to a movie theater, so we decided to make today his first! And a double-feature, at that! He loved it(especially the popcorn!) It was so cool to see in 3D. I normally hate 3D(I totally believe that all that stuff is jumping out at me!), but this didn't have all those "special" effects. It just looked amazing!

Guess I need to check it out. That's great that the first time you son goes to the theatre it is a Disney movie. :)

Looks like a a rainy day, I am planning on going this afternoon.

I saved my 3D glasses from Up.

Can't wait!!
Any ideas when it's coming to the UK?

:goodvibes

It is here now Luke - well Toy Story is as we saw it yesterday :thumbsup2 Looks like they are staggering them here instead of a double bill popcorn::

Watch though it is only on for a limited time

We saw it yesterday. All I can say is "WOW"! I could not believe how the textures popped on screen!

If you go, take time to look at the details - fabric, little items that you may not have seen before (my wife, for example, spotted a toy 'Flik' for sale on the floor of Al's Toy Barn - we've never seen that before...), etc.

Remember - this is the first time most (if not all) of us are seeing these movies in a complete digital transfer - when they were released the first time, we still were watching them projected from film projectors, and some of these details were lost in the transfer process.

It really was fun seeing them on a big screen again!

I want to go, but my wife isn't interested. She says, "but we've seen those movies so many times." The 3D sounds like how it was with UP. Nothing jumping out at you, but just so much depth to the film.

It's a rainy, cold day here in Dallas/Fort Worth so I might take our daughter to see it today.

Just back - really enjoyed the two movies. 3D was good, sound system, too. Sometimes I think when a movie comes out "I'll wait 'til it comes out on DVD." An experince like this reminds the why we should still go to movie theaters.

And now I want to go to Hollywood Studios and ride through the TSMM attraction!

i can't wait to go see them. i've had a hankering to see Toy Story since Up, and i've never seen the second one!!

waiting for this cold to go away though...methinks sitting through a double feature feeling like this would not be very fun.

It's very much like UP, nothing jumping out at you, but lots of depth. We went this afternoon. It was very cool. I haven't TS2 in a loooong time, so it was great to see it again in that amazing 3D. The textures are really amazing. I noticed even on the little green martian guys that their "skin" is textured, not just flat. Very cool.

I do think though, that if 3D movies are going to get more and more common, you should be able to keep your 3D glasses and use them again and pay less. I know that probably won't happen, but it just kills me to pay $9 for a matinee here, I know some places are at $10 already for a regular movie, but $9 for a matinee is alot, it's usually $6.50.

I saw that, too! Along with noticing they filled up at a DINOCO gas station (Cars) and the toolbox that was in Sid's room was from Binford Tools (Home Improvement). Never noticed that before.

I am very excited to see Toy Story in theaters. My son is a movie fanatic and was not even born with TS1 and TS2 came out. We were going to go today but everyone was feeling under the weather. I am excited to hear good reports.

My DH really wants to buy his own pair of 3D glasses that fit over his regular glasses better. Those glasses are a real pain when you are trying to wear them over your regular glasses.

We're going tomorrow night, can't wait !

I hope I don't cry "3-D tears" during "When She Loved Me" from Toy Story 2, but I probably will.

Shhhh ! Don't tell anyone, it's really embarrassing. ;)

The 3D glasses from the theater fit fine over my regular glasses.

I saved the 3D glasses from when I saw Up. I could have put them in the recycling box at the theater, but I thought the best recycling was to use re-use them. And, no, I did not get a price break for not taking a new pair.

I paid $10.00 for 3D matinee in Central Maine. At least I got to see two movies this time. Up was only one movie.
