Check out ratestogo.com. They often have excellent rates (particularly in the off season) as long as you are not booking more than 20 days ahead.

To the OP.....your DS will have so much fun!!

We loved , loved , loved staying at the lodge. IMO, worth every penny they charge!

For the CAA rate do you have to book through CAA agent?

It's been a couple of years since last visit and the kids are often asking to go back. $250 is great for a little winter getaway. It's a lot of fun.

I had to cancel my GWL ressies for Family Day and Vic Day because of the 4+3 promo at Disney! FOr the best rates, I usually look to book well in advance, especially for all the holiday weekends.

We were just at Great Wolf last Friday (the day after Christmas). We got a rate of $199 (Canadian) off of ratestogo.com.

The discount code NLOCAL (for Canadians) or BUFLOCAL (for Americans) still works too, but I found rates to go to be cheaper.

We had a blast!

I just checked and my date is $159! I can cancel my CAA room with a $25 penalty and it's still worth it.

I'm just worried about ratestogo because I haven't used them before. I just need a little convincing before I cancel directly with GWL and go with ratestogo.

I used them b/c so many people on the DIS used them and had no problems.

Booking with them was a total non issue with me. There were no glitches whatsoever. When I booked with them, they took a small deposit on my credit card (I think it was like $30) and I paid the balance of my room at GWL upon checkout. So you don't even have to pay for the whole room upfront when you book with them.

I called GWL a few days before my stay to confirm they had my rates to go ressie and they did. I'm sure you'll have no problems.
