Just need to vent...
since October of 2005 i have been dealing with increasing pain in my lower spine, muscle spasms and issues of pain and lack of complete functioning in my right leg. so anyway, we go to an ortho for help who sends us to Duke, so we get some X rays of my lower spine and they tell me i have severe facet joint arthritis. (which just sounded painful) so i have been going to physical therapy which although i love the warm pool is not really helping a lot. so, the doctor decides to try facet joint injections which actually caused more pain not less. lots of swelling and bruising and missing classes, which is never fun. so last week i went for an MRI, today i got the results. the L4-L5 disc is in a major degenerative state and now i have to schedule an epidural, there is also some possible nerve damage heading down the right leg. ugghhh, missed class today so i could get things organized. they are also talking surgery which is scary because of the ehlers danlos. the spine looked really bad in the MRI images, not a fun day. sad day. sorry just really needed to vent.
