OT is there any ISP service

If you mean wireless Internet - supposedly there is an open WiFi inside one of the Innoventions buildings. But if you have a phone, can't you just use the phone connection?

internet connection.

and i do have a phne, but it' needs an address to get service. kwim?

I used my phone all through WDW. No problem.

I'm confused.

Your iPhone will have internet access where ever you have cell phone coverage. You don't need an address for this.

If, for some reason, you want to use WiFi instead, there really isn't anywhere that has free WiFi. I'm not sure why you'd need WiFi though.

I have a droid through Nextel. I'm sure our phones run the same way. I can get interent anywhere I have phone service, but it is slower. If I can connect to wifi it goes much faster. But no matter what, if I can get phone service, I still can get online.

What he said... If you have a data plan on your iPhone try to find out how to share the internet connection with your computer (search on Google). I use my sprint phone and share the internet connection though the phones WiFi connection. I am using it to type this, as i am at Pop Century... If you do not have data on your phone or can not share the phone connection, you can get WiFi internet in some of the convention resorts but it is very few and far between and i don't know where they are exactly.

An iPhone doesn't need an address to get service. You can use your 3G cell phone connection, which is available at Epcot.

An iPod Touch needs an ISP service, i.e. a Wi-Fi connection, in order to connect to the internet but an iPhone can connect to the Internet anywhere you have cell phone service. The iPhone doesn't need a wi-fi connection, although it can use one if one is available.

in epcot. is that called 'wifi'? i have an i phone but no data service unless i'm at starbucks and etc and use theirs.

sorry for mistake. so i guess i want to know if epcot has wifi avaiable for guests?

thanks all

Did you jailbreak the phone and therefore have no data plan? Because AT&T requires a minimum monthly data plan for iphones. And unless the phone has been jailbroken, you cant use it with any other carrier.

There is no free wi-fi available that I am aware of anywhere on Disney property. There is wi-fi available in some of the hotel lobbies but you have to pay for it. There is always a chance that you might be able to pick up a stray wi-fi signal but it isn't something that Disney officially offers to park guests.

I also agree with the previous poster that if you have an iPhone with AT&T then you have to have a data plan -- Unless you have jailbroken the phone or are using it an iPod Touch and not as an iPhone.

If you can make phone calls on your phone, you can get on the Internet. You don't need WiFi or any address or anything else.

Go to Safari on your phone and you're on the Internet.

sometimes i'm on and sometimes i can't get on. It's brand new and i'm clueless.

thanks all

Im still wondering how you have a brand new iphone without a data plan. Who is your wireless carrier?

rvchat, I'm assuming you just got your iPhone for Christmas and got the minimum data plan. (200 mb/mo).

If I was him (and I could be him in a year, since I'm looking at getting an iPhone), I'd get the minimum data plan and use wifi as much as possible.

rvchat - that sounds like just more of a connection issue. If you see E at the top of your phone - for the Edge network, that is a worse connection than 3G and sometimes Internet things don't work. Or if you have only a few bars on your phone - same thing - things don't work because it's just too slow.

That could be your problem, although generally I had good service at Disney.

HOWEVER -- you are there on the busiest night of the year if you are still in Epcot right now. I would not be at ALL surprised if your phone isn't working well or at all - that's not uncommon when there are SO many people using cell service in one place.

OP - If you have an iPhone, you have a data plan. AT&T requires a data plan with the phone unless it is jailbroken and I assuming that yours is not. Most areas that AT&T covers for cell service will have access to the internet via Edge or 3G (I'm not necessarily aware of any areas that will have cell service w/o a means of getting online). It will just not be as fast as a wireless internet (WiFi) connection. When available, there will be an "E" or "3G" in the top left-hand corner of your phone. When you are connected to WiFi, that will change to a WiFi symbol. You may be in an area of WDW that has cell phone signal, but not Edge or 3G. As far as I know, there is no free WiFi in the parks or resorts.

There is free wifi for DVC members, but I think it's not too easy for anyone to just hook into that, unless you are in their room.

No there is not. DVC members staying using their membership points get free WIRED Internet. The only way to get wireless in the resorts is to bring you own wireless router from home.
