OT: I need your prayers

My grandmother was sent to the hospital today for severe stomach aches. I just found out that she has a preferated bowel and needs surgery asap. She almost 80 with a heart problem. So surgery is a big risk. She says she doesn't want surgery. She was like a 2nd mother to me growing up and moved to Ocala (3 hours north of Orlando) 10 yrs ago. I have missed her so much. But more than anything I wanted her to be a big part of my wedding. She, without surgery, will only live a few days, and I can't leave to tell her good-bye. The worse thing is, my mother and her talk almost everyday and are super tight. Tomorrow is my mothers birhtday. Please pray for her. I hear that this hurts like having labor. I know she's lived a good life. But I know how much she wanted to come to the wedding and see my children. I'm not ready to lose her yet. But she's saying it's her time to go.

She checked herself out. I'm getting ready to leave to go up there. Please pray for me and my family on the way there. It's 5 1/2 hours away. My aunt, a nurse, said that she may not make it through the night.

My grandfather made that decision in September. He took himself off his treatments for his brain tumor. I understand what you're going through. It's hard knowing that people are choosing to die. It doesn't stop being hard, but things do improve with time. My prayers are with you...I understand what you're going through.
