OT! How old were your kids when they lost thier first tooth.

DS12 lost his first tooth when he was 10 and it had to be pulled because it was so tiny and starting to show too much sign of wear and tear. I was worried but the dentist said it was OK. He didn't get his first tooth until he was 12 1/2 months.

DS7 lost his first tooth right after he turned 7.

my dd was 5 when she lost her bottom 2 about a month ago and she has 3 more loose teeth now. she was so excited when they fell out. I am so squirmish about loose teeth though, i cannot look at or wiggle them when she asks...i seriously get nauseous... what i loser i am lol

DS(11) lost his first tooth about 7 1/2. He still has one baby tooth left, and he turns 12 in April.

DD(5) none yet -- but others in her class have.

My son is 6.5 -- he has lost 4 teeth since his 6th birthday last May. He also had one pulled by the dentist when he was 5. The 2 top front came out within a week.

My older daughter lost her first tooth when she was 6, in first grade. She was the only one in her class who hadn't lost a baby tooth at the beginning of the year.

My younger daugther lost her first tooth at age 4 and had all of her permanent teeth by age 9.

They were very different!!! DD19 had braces until the middle of 9th grade - DD14 just finished hers before Christmas of 8th grade. DD19 had her wisdom teeth out when she was a sophmore in high school - DD14 had hers out two weeks ago. (Can I just say how THRILLED I am to be finished with wisdom teeth??!!))

I hated those charts the teachers did to show how many people had lost teeth. The kids who hadn't lost any felt bad about it. Why make them feel bad about something over which they have no control? Find another way to teach charts.

Older ds lost his first tooth at 8 1/2 years, and younger ds just lost his first at 7 1/2 years. Both dh and I were late to lose teeth, too.

My oldest DD lost her first tooth @ 5 and continued to lose 7 more in 18 months....

My younger DD lost her first tooth at 4.5! I was so worried because it was so early! The dentist reassured me that since she got her teeth early, it's not out of the ordinary that she would lose them early... she lost her 6th one last week @ 5 yrs/5 months old She's the only one in her class who has lost any teeth

DS 7 is a late tooth bloomer. He lost his bottom 2 at about 6 1/2 but the adult teeth came in and the baby teeth had to be pulled -- they wern't budging! Now at 7 1/2 he hasn't lost any more, but one of his top ones is wiggly. eeewww (see below)!

I think DD 4 might be losing hers a lot earlier, as one is already loose. Her teeth were totally different than her brother's. I think she might have my husband's beautiful straight teeth, while DS has my large crooked ones that were too big for my jaw.

Dd was 5 when she lost her first tooth and it was the night my DF passed away.

My ds just lost his first two, one right after the other. It was the week of his 6th bday.

niece's 5-1/2 yr old daughter lost her 1st tooth on Christmas eve. What a night - Santa Claus AND the Tooth Fairy!

of course, we had to play that song,
"all I want for Christmas is my 2 front teeth."

DD was 3 1/2....knocked out her top front tooth on the exercise equipment! She jumped from the bench to try and swing on the bench press bar, but she misjudged her leap and caught the bar in her mouth. She cried a little (just enough to get dad's attention) and he noticed her bloody mouth. He thought she had bit her tongue until she calmly walked over, picked her tooth up off the floor and asked daddy if he could put it back in for her! I was at work at the time and he called me in a panic....What do I do with the tooth? Should we put it in milk? Should I put it back in her mouth? I told him it was just her baby tooth and it won't be put back in. He called the dentist anyways! Our dentist was concerned that she might be in some pain and that Tylenol might not be strong enough. My husband said that she was handling the pain just fine since she was, by now, calmly eating ICE CREAM!

5.5. By the end second grade, everyone in her class had lost at least one tooth. It will happen!

My middle child got her first tooth at 4 months, her first CAVITY at 20 months, and her first tooth fall out at 4 years.

Her dentist says she'll be getting her braces next year when she's 10 (because she has lost all of her baby teeth already).

My nephew, on the other hand, had to get his baby teeth pulled at 12 years, because NONE of them came out.

Oh, and my dd lost TWO teeth at WDW! (at different trips)

I lost my first tooth at almost 9. I graduated from high school when I was 15 and I lost my last baby tooth in a chemistry class in college. I totally freaked out the professor when I started bleeding from the mouth. He had another student accompany me to the health center to ensure I was well.

dd started when she was 5, she is 6 and will be 7 in May. She has lost 7 and her 8th is loose. I wish she wasn't losing them so fast, I'm a bit concerned about her adult teeth coming in so early.

My daughter lost her 1st tooth about 2 months ago.
She was 4.5 yo. I just noticed today that the new tooth has really grown in fast.

Well DD3 lost her first tooth last June and it was pulled because it was a chipped abcess (sp?). DD7 will be 8 in July and still no signs of losing one. They both went to the dentist last week and he told me that at her next visit if she still has not lost one then they will do a different x-ray to see if she has any growing above them and if so we may have to pull them to let the others come down.
