So... My husband and I share the bed that he was given as a freshman in high school. It is nearly 20 years old, and I can't sleep on it one more night!

We stayed at a Westin last weekend, and I literally slept for 12 hours on the Heavenly bed. It was SO comfy. I see you can order them, and it would be somewhat pricey.

I am wondering if anyone has purchased one for your home? or know someone who has?

Hi,

I have the W Hotel pillowtop mattress, which is either the same or VERY close to the Westin Heavenly Bed (they look identical and they're both Starwoods properties, so...). I LOVE it!

There are only two things I will warn you about:

1. It is REALLY hard to get out of bed in the morning!

2. I find myself taking a lot more naps :)

Seriously though, it is a fantastic bed. I bought mine last year and there was a 40% coupon for the W Hotel Store, so it was less than $800 for a Queen set. There is almost always a coupon code out there for the W Store, though it has been a while since I saw the 40%. Still, knowing what I know now I would have paid full price.

Good luck -- everyone deserves a great night's sleep!

Our bed is almost that old and we need to get a new one too. In the meantime, we bought a memory foam topper to put on top. It is very comfy and will hold us until we can get a new mattress- probably this summer. We've had the topper for about two years. Just thought I'd throw that in case you aren't getting a new one right away.

best bed i ever slept on was at a doubletree......
i'd order it in a second if they sold it here....(it can be ordered in the states)..

We are shopping for new mattress this weekend.
Suggestions?

Can we buy a Heavenly Bed?

We ordered a Heavenly Bed after spending two nights at the Boston Westin. It's a five years old or so now and holding up well. It wasn't as comfortable as the one we slept on at the hotel, but I think that was because the Boston hotel had the old model with the pillow top on both sides of the mattress. The one we bought has a pillow top just one one side. (The saleswoman said they changed the design so housekeeping didn't have to keep flipping the mattress.)

I remember that it wasn't any more expensive than some of the other mattresses we were looking at. I think we paid $1,100 for it. (And the mattress, along with the bedroom set we purchased around the same time, was made in the USA, which was another selling point.)

i just looked it up - i see the heavenly bed mattress is manufactured by simmons...
they make very good quality mattresses..
our simmons mattress set is 32 years old and still in pretty good shape...

I actually posted this before i looked at the price. I thought it was actually pretty reasonable. It was 1750 for the mattress, mattress pad, delivery and taxes. That doesn't seem out of line to me. I don't mind spending money on a bed, it is literally the place where I spend the most time! now i just ned to gather the courage to bite the bullet and order it...

We love our Tempurpedic mattress, but the Heavenly Beds at the Swan and other Westin hotels are "heavenly" too!!!

I researched this a few months back. On on the deal boards (slick) I found a code that has since died but offered a bit of info about the difference between mattresses. The deal was for the "W" Hotel Chain not the Westin Heavenly Bed which apparently is different. Some of the slick deal people said the mattress was a specially manufactured Simmons Beauty Rest. Others argued. (On a side note, if you think WE get into heated discussions about nothing at all, you should visit THAT board!) But I digress. I copied/pasted this from US-Mattress.com' blog where others had the asme question

Are you able to tell me what mattress you have with Simmons that is similar to the Westin Heavenly bed?

Yes, the closest mattress to the Simmons Heavenly Bed on our website is the Simmons Beautyrest Dakar. It is available in a Plush and a Pillowtop. Both comforts are used at the Westin hotel.

Which Simmons model is closest to Westin’s Heavenly Bed.

The Westin Heavenly Bed is a 13″ thick Pillowtop in the Classic Beautyrest Collection. The closest model to this on our website is the Dakar Pillowtop.

So then I did some research on the Dakar mattress and here is what I found from one company:

Here's a comparison of the line:http://www.simmons.com/products/brands/beautyrest/compare.html

If you still have your heart set on the W Hotel Store one with the coupon, I'd recommend googling the "heavenly bed" and "coupon code" before buying. I didn't see a deal out there now but there was one as recently as January. They have been doing the sale off and on since 2007, I think.

Well, today was the day to buy a new mattress. The local furniture store carries Serta. We played Goldilocks and laid on our backs, our sides and rolled around on a dozen mattress. Too firm! Too soft! Too puffy! Too high! We hope the one we chose is "just right". Only misgiving is that it is from the new Donald Trump line - "affordable luxury comes home". Just feels weird to have Trumps "T" logo on the mattress!

We recently replaced our almost 20 year old bed with a Sleep Number bed and I couldn't be happier. I haven't slept this well in YEARS. We got the C4 model and it's the most comfortable bed I've ever slept on. I highly recommend it!

I don't know if that is the same mattress they use in the Trump hotel in Vegas, but they sure were comfortable beds :goodvibes
