I'll probably get more flames for this...but *quite a few* DISers have seemed to become down right hostle on the boards lately. We use the boards to share stories (good and bad), gain tips and ideas, and even vent. I have not been on the boards long, only since November, but in the last few months *some* of the members just get nasty if your ideas, morals, or vents don't match up with theirs. Rather than just read and continue or calmly write their position they *slam* the OP and any others that support him/her. Sure, those that disagree with me will say don't put it on the boards if you don't want an opposing view, but then that would also prohibit the OP from getting postitve feedback (from both sides of the issue).
Am I the only one who see this?
Personally, I want to see both sides of the issue. If I am wrong or there is another side/option to the issue I do accept it, but that doesn't necessarily mean I am changing my mind about what I am doing or venting about. In fact when I am *slammed* I am less likely to even take what is being posted and learn from it than if the post was writting in a respectful tone.
Ok, vent over.
