Can anyone tell me how the sizes run with the knit shorts for big girls? I usually order a size 9 in anything denim there but are worried about the shrinkage on the knit shorts. Thanks

I ahev been buying Gymboree for years and years and I have never had a problem w/ shrinkage. I think they run pretty true to size.

I've never had shrink issues with those shorts either. They seem to hold up pretty well.

FYI...if all you are ordering are the basic knits shorts/tanks from the new lines, you will probably get a better deal next week. After the buy2get1 sale is over the new tropical treats will be 2 for 12. HTH

OOH thanks for the tropical treats tip...I bought a whole bunch of stuff yesterday (all for $120!!! ) I held back on a cute dress for dd(just too expensive) but now she will be able to get it before the trip! THANK YOU!
You know one thing that I loved about the 3 for 2 deal is that they finally grouped like priced items together- in other words if you bought 3 things that were $20 and 3 that were $10 instead of getting 2 $10 ones for free you would get one $10 and one $20! I saved about $80 and got $50 worth of gymbucks too!
oh and edit to say I never have had shrinkage issues on the shorts either. My dd is 8 and she wears a 9 also. She needs them for the length- sometimes the waist is too big so I do like to buy their adjustable waist stuff(not the cotton ones- but I did buy some of those yesterday anyway because they were cheap!)

Thanks for the tip! I just spent $100 online to get my $50 gymboree bucks. I think they run true to size. I've got to stop buying these kids clothes though. The girls have a huge walk in closet and one side is entirely filled with new clothes for Disney. LOL but they know they are only allowed to wear the clothes on the right side of their closet. I do this every year and just figure I must be crazy.

LOL disneymomx7 I do the same thing. And even my dd now will say" No you can't wear that it is for vacation." to my son. :rotfl2: (I am training her....)
I am still shopping as you can tell. My older guy still needs sandals and dd could use another pair of sandals. And let's not get started about my clothes.

To tell the truth I don't finish shopping until I'm finished packing! For some reason (I know I need help) my kids must have all new clothes - even sock, underwear and pjs for vacation. Considering we go for over two weeks it really adds up. I always feel guilty for ds though, it seems like no matter how much I buy him the girls have three times as much! Of course they have to have shoes and socks or sandals to match every outfit, and there there are the hair accessories. That's another reason I love gymboree you can always find socks and hair bows to match their outfits!

I hate to buy for myself (especially this year). I wore a size 4 for 10 years and a 2 before that. Well this winter has certainly taken its toll (LOL). Nothing fits at all. So I figured I can diet like crazy or I can buy all new size 6 shorts. Guess which one I chose - Size 6 of course!
