OT: Gift baskets cellophane?

I will be putting together several gift baskets for an upcoming fundraising event. Where do you suggest that I can purchase the cellophane wrappers for gift baskets? Everywhere I look is quite expensive.

Hi. I have to make gift baskets for my office and I find the most inexpensive ones are found in the dollar stores. Here in Philadelphia we have a store called Dollar Tree. You get two bags for $1.00. I also believe they have a website. You may be able to purchase them online. Also, if I have something that is taller than the bag I place the basket in bag #1, cut the bottom off of bag #2 and slip bag #2 over bag #1 until they overlap. I found using the clear packing tape to be the best to secure the two bags together as it is almost impossible to see after you secure the two bags together. I hope this helps.

We have a small indepent pharmacy that sells it here for about $1.50, might be one near you that does the same.

I buy mine in the Dollar Tree also but just a thought, if your making them for a fundraiser why not go to your local Supermarket with a floral dept. and ask if they would like to donate some? If your a regular patron and its a good cause you may just get lucky!

If you have any party stores, you can usually find it pretty cheap. I got a roll of it for 1.79 for 25 sqft. Also, Hobby Lobby has a HUGE roll for 3.50.

I do a lot of these as well and always get them from The Dollar Tree. As mentioned above you get 2 for $1...add a bow from the Dlollar Tree and you have a great looking basket for cheap!

I usually get my shrink wrap bags at either Joanne's or AC Moore (Michael's might sell it also). You put the completed basket in the bag (they have different sizes) and you put a hairdryer to it and it shrinks the plastic. Everything stays together this way. The bags are pretty cheap -maybe $1.50 -$2.50 depending on the size.
