Welcome back Jackie, how was DLP?

Hopefully we wont need to make a trip to visit Spongebob Squarepants I don't want to do Universal at all.

We went to universal this year with my 6 year old and she didn't really like it. There was not much for her to do that she would like as she doesn't know any of the films that the rides are based on and doesn't watch Nickelodeon. Much more for her to do at Disney and none of the rides scare her. Plus at 6 she was able to ride everything except from Rock N Roller Coaster so you get your moneys worth at disney.

Ahh I want to adopt too... MrTiggs would like to wait untill we've had a few of our own first...or I would have liked to have been foster parent.

Well our way of thinking is that we can practice on our own kids so that we are better parents for a child/children that need better parenting.

Oh yeah and having a family unit for the child to come into to is far better i think.

The reason I want to do it is because a close family friend was a foster parent she had two children of her own and was just the most wonderful person, such a nice lady.. she was a teacher too...Sadly her husband passed away from cancer when the children were little and then a few years later she died -there're not sure what happened really but it breaks my heart that after all that and all the children shes cared for her children are now in a simliar position.....

It's the exact reason that we want to adopt, I get really affected by stories like that. I can't even watch Children in Need or those NSPCC adverts anymore

I know and it just really makes me why!?! you know why her.. the children and her had been through so much already...

Indeed... I just think if can do something to help someone somewhere then do it...

Also I don't think she will be into Dora again at that age aswell. I really didn't get much out of Universal it bored me and the Jaws ride was so over-rated

It's because we have discussed adoption after having 2 children of our own.


Didn't mean to invade your post, but just wanted to say, having spent time in a childrens home and then foster parents before finally being adopted i really admire people who want to invest , so much for a child who is not biologically there's is such a great gift. As a child i was not partically pleasant ! but with a secure family environment who worked through all my past trauma's i was able to develop into a normal individual!!! who has such a rich, fantastic life, and i am so grateful for all that i have, now at 36 with a family of my own i know how lucky i am.
Sorry to harp on but just wanted to say you must have really kind hearts and i hope it works out for you because it is a gift of love that you are giving and really means everthing to the children who you touch!!!

I'm not sure Kyra will have a succesful career in dancing, she will need to find some better moves before she pursue's that career.

Aww, I'm sure she's a great little mover!

When I used to host kids parties and do Disco Dancing contests, all the kids just used to bounce around like little pogo sticks....! It made picking a winner very hard!
