OT: First Day of Kindergarten

My dd is starting kindergarten in a few weeks. I was just wonder what you daughters wear the first day of school. She want to dress like Hannah Montana , but mom was leaning towards smocked apples. Yikes...I didn't think that the clothing battles would start so early!

She sounds like my 6 year old. Last year my DD wore a pink camoflage skort, a pink shirt and a jean jacket. I hated the outfit, but I let her pick it out on her own. It made her feel better to have on an outfit she really liked and had never owrn before.

We hadn't started thinking about this yet, but last night my SIL asked my DD what she was wearing on her first day of kindergarten. My daughter said, "I don't know," using an expression like there was nothing that could be worse than not knowing. I know it will be a dress because that is all I can get her to wear. I think she has worn shorts about three times this summer. It is so different from my DS 8 who puts on whatever I lay out for him.
