I love Moe's. Unfortunately they are no longer convenient for lunch. Qdoba is close, but I haven't tried them yet. Both Qdoba and Chipolte are near home. Of these three, which is your favorite? I do love the Mexican Pizza at Taco Bell, but they are no where near me anymore. And the rest of the menu isn't that great.

So, what do you all think?

We love Chipotle.

The only thing we dont like is the fact that they have the most uncomfortable chairs I've ever seen in any restaurant.

I love Qdoba. However, there is a restaurant less than five minutes from my house that has THE BEST Mexican food I've ever had! It isn't a chain, but my recommendation is to look for other non-chain restaurants for ethnic cuisine. I've had better luck in those kinds of places.

We love Moes! We also have a new place called Chido Burritos- it's Californian-Mexican-Surfer and very yummy. It's not a chain--yet! Check it out(chidoburrito.com)- it's close to Atlantic City.

I love pasos but i think they are just in polk county though.

Out of the 3 you mention, I  Chipotle. Their rice is fantabulous and the chips are warm, salty with a hint of lime. Love them.

At one time I thought Moe's was a great alternative, what with the free chips and salsa bar (not to mention the cool menu item names), but I just don't think their quality is as good (plus the chips are worse than I can get in the grocery store).

We don't have a Qdoba near us, but I'd love to try it.

For sit down Mexican chains, I used to love On the Border, but the one near us closed a few years ago.

What a great topic! :thumbsup2

Unfortunately, there's not much of a choice around here. We have Taco Bell. There's a few Baja Fresh and Chipolte places scattered, but no where nearby.

When I lived in MI I liked Baja Fresh, plus it was across the street from me. Now that I moved down to SE VA I can't seem to find a chain that I like. I am not a Chipolte fan, too spicy for me. Qdoba is good, not very close to home. I NEED to try Moe's. I know there are down here, I just have to find one.

Qdoba all the way!!! Everything always tastes so fresh and the staff is usually really friendly too. They also have a Qdoba card at my locations (Charlotte NC) that you can use to earn free chips and salsa, free entrees, etc. Go try them out!

We go to Baja Fresh too. They always have good coupons so we don't go unless we have one. $5 off of $15. So DH and I get the chicken fajitas and that is enough to last me for two meals.

The best places though are local around here and not chains. There is a little place in Sonoma my dad has been raving about that I need to try sometime.

If you like Moe's, try a California Tortilla if they are around you. We have both here in Delaware, and California Toritlla is much better I think.

YUM-O I love love love Mexican food! I live in Jackson and there are a few good places by me. I love Surf Taco and Juanitos 2. (Juanitos 1 is about 30 mins away) I also love Chevy's and don't mind some stuff by Taco Bell. But my fave is def Juanitos 2. Their guac is oh so good and I love their chips. Crap, now I'm dying for Mexican food!!!!

I see Qdoba for lunch in my future. Maybe Chipolte for dinner one night. Unfortunately, the other chains mentioned aren't in Pittsburgh.

As far as chains go, Uncle Julio's, Chewy's, Mi Cocina & Pappasito's are pretty decent.

My favorite is Chipotle :lovestruc - I've been known to drive from western PA to Cleveland for Chipotle (4 hours round trip), before they (and Qdoba and Baja Fresh) came to this area.

I also once took a taxi from the Dallas/Fort Worth airport to Chipotle during a layover. That meal was known as my "free" $80 tacos - I had coupons from Chipotle, but the taxi fare was $80.

IMO, Chipotle's guacamole is better than Qdoba, although they are similar quality-wise and freshness-wise for their other menu items.

We love Chipotle.

Agreed 100%, we do takeout now in order to avoid the seating - hard-edged chairs that dig into the back of your legs. They do have counter seating with stools, but that's not much better.

Around my work we have 3 chains (plus Taco Bell). I have favorite parts at all 3 restaurant. Chipotle has the best rice and quac. Moe's has the best tortillas, salsa, and queso. Willy's has the best meat and one of those awesome Coke machines with all the flavors!
