I just had an item won by someone in Norway with 0 feedback. :sad1: Should I do it or can I cancel it? I have stated in other auctions I will ship worldwide, but this person didn't ask for a shipping quote ahead of time and no feedback really scares me. Help!

And, BTW, what is up with Euorpe, are all of the shops there closed?? In the past week, I have gotten contacted by several people from Spain, Netherlands, Sweden, UK, Germany, Portugal and now Norway! Just kind of odd, I've gotten more questions from international bidders int he past week than the past few years I've sold stuff! :confused3

The only European country that I will ship to is the UK, and only if I'm asked in advance - that is the only European country where Paypal offers their Seller Protection Policy. But the buyer must ask in advance - the shipping to Europe including delivery confirmation (required by Paypal) can be quite expensive, so I don't want surprises after the auction ends.

I automatically block bidders from outside the US, and let interested parties contact me to ask if I will ship to them.

I would only take an international postal money order and I would cash it at the post office before I shipped.

OMG- now I just had one won by someone is Estonia!! They only have a feedback of 2. And I am ashamed to say I don't even know where that is!

If you stated that you will ship worldwide, then you need to do it. If you don't want to ship internationally, then remove it from future listings.

No, none of these were listed as shipping worldwide, but if people contact me about it, I will give them a shipping cost if they have decent feedback.

OT-Estonia is near Finland. My stepdads parents are from there its a beutiful palce. I know you didn't ask but I thought it was starnge to see someone mention Estonia.

You should have said no paypal without a confirmed address, and there is no such thing as a confirmed address for some countries. Or you could be more specific and say no paypal for non-U.S. buyers.

I suppose not much bad will happen if you insist on a non-chargebackable payment i.e. deny paypal on this transaction, take the neg if one happens, and that is only one strike out of three strikes you're out.

At least in the future you need to explicity say in the listing what form of payment you will take for buyers of what countries and with what feedback. This added listing description material must be consistent with what you do on this transaction.

I'd love to know what you are selling that is of interest to those out of the country. I have soo much stuff to sell & I'm thinking of using one of the companies that do it all for you.

Thanks! I did look it up, I felt so stupid that I'd never heard of that!

Thanks for all of the tips, I will definately update what I say in my auctions.

And as for what I am selling- nothing special! Just clothes, shoes, etc. I did have a couple pairs of Crocs on there (I ordered with the great buys on here and then they were a little too small for my big feet), those received a lot of the questions. Are Crocs not shipped to other countries? :rotfl: One inquiry from Spain was for some of my sons' used shorts, no special name brand! I can't imagine paying shipping on that!

I ship internationally all the time. I also ship more expensive items ($100 and up). I've never had an issue. Since the auction is over and you either specified world-wide shipping or didn't specify any type of shipping, you should follow through and ship the item when paid. It's the correct thing to do. You risk being suspended from Ebay if you don't.

As for other countries, thinks are quite a bit more expensive in some European countries so maybe what you are selling will cost less with shiping than they could buy it for locally.

I would suggest that you block international bidders in the future and put in the listing that if they live outside the US to contact you.
