OT: Does Anyone Know Of A Site For Requesting Cabin Quotes In Pigeon Forge?

I'm not exactly sure what I'm looking for. I've read on here that people have been able to go to a site & enter what type of vacation home they're interested in, & owners contact them with quotes. What's that site, & does anyone know of one similar to it for Pigeon Forge, TN? TIA

Yes, there are quite a few sites that will do that for the Orlando/Gulf Coast area.. like www.orlandovillas.com www.lastminutevillas.net etc.

But Tennessee...hmmm...

I'd start with www.vrbo.com

That will give you an idea of what might be available...

We've never used this site, www.cyberrentals.com , but have browsed it quite a bit...I *think* there's an email owners/search feature there..

Oh, just thought of it www.rentalo.com will get you the general inquiry thing

Just make sure you set up a free email account for the responses, ie, a hotmail account, or yahoo. You don't want your home email inbox getting jammed with all sorts of junk mail

our favorite place is www.oakhavenresort.com. We love it and go 3-4 times a year. It is closer to Sevierville so you don't have to get into that parkway traffic unless you want to. There is also a day spa onsite.

Thanks for the suggestion & sites. I need every resource I can get. We're hoping to go the week after Christmas, & I can't find anything that is available or that we can afford. $650/ night is a little out of our price range. $300/ per night would be more like it. We're looking for a larger cabin to accommodate 14+ people & a pet. So far, I'm not having any luck & am about ready to give up.

We stayed at Mountain Laurel Chalets in Gatlinburg and it was very nice. It was a little unnerving driving up into the mountains to get to the house but the views were beautiful.

when i looked I could only find hotels that would accept pets.

Thanks again for your suggestions. This search has been quite a challenge. There's very few cabins available for our dates. Most of them are too small, outrageously expensive, or don't accept pets. I've found a combo of 2, but not all 3. I'm not giving up yet, but I may have to soon, so I'll have time to plan for a different location. I have learned my lesson. If I plan another trip to PF, I'll do that very far in advance.

I have found quite a few cabins that accept pets. They just don't work for our particular situation. However, it does appear that most of the larger booking agents (i.e. Cabins USA, etc.) don't. I could definitely use a bit of luck at the moment though.

I forgot to mention that rentalo.com is a great site. I got several replies. Finding all our dates or a rate we can afford, is the problem. I'll definitely use them in the future.
