as regular house mailing address? i want to have both, but worried that one might mess up the other.

same name - one with street mail address

same name - po box.

thanks all.

I don't think you can. I can't remember exactly why but when I moved I had to get a PO box (no mail delivery in my town) and was not allowed to keep the original at my mom's house. I had to change my address. I would go to a PO and ask them.

My daughter has both a PO Box and a street address. Mail goes to both.

You totally can. My dad had a P.O. box for work, and the home address for home. There was no business name. Just his name.

No problems ever.

Yes you can - I have three different Post Office Boxes at different post offices for mystery shopping jobs I do and my home mail as well. All are under the same name and I used the same ID to open each one.

You can do it, but you have to pay for the po box.

I think if you don't have mail delivered to your house, it's free (or can't have mail delivered). That said, it's pretty cheap and yes, you can have the same name.

Exactly right. It's important to keep your home address because a lot of rebates and delivered packages can't go to PO boxes.

I have both. Bills go to my PO Box, personal mail comes at home. We got one after knowing several people who'd had identity theft issues after their mail was stolen.

But everything can get delivered to a box at a UPS store. That's what we have.

ok, dumb question, but in your subject line, it says
OT... I used to think that stood for Off Topic, but you
STARTED the topic. What does it stand for?

Opps. I guess I was wrong. Sorry :confused3! I wish I could remember my exact situation. I do remember thinking that the PO worker was a little over the top because she asked me for my ID before I could get my mail!

it's OT because the category is BUDGET. This is not budget related......

How would you not keep your home address unless you moved ? The post office won't give your address away if you rent a P.O. box.

Anyway, yes you can definately have both. That is how my brilliant sister kept her overwhelming debt a secret from her spouse, had all the bills sent to her P.O. box . She didn't want him to have a heart attack if he found out.

If you don't have a mail receptacle, you can't get delivery.

Or if you file a change of address form from your home to your PO Box, no mail can get delivered to your home.
