OT: Did you cry at Toy Story 3?

i went with my extended family (12 of us) range of ages from 3 - 48 years..My sis in law and i are both 42 and we were the loudest on laughing and yes, we cried!!!

GREAT MOVIE!!! can't wait to get it DVD!!

I cried. Thank goodness for the 3D glasses :) . My family never knew (I think) .

We just returned from seeing it and I cried! My 12 year old son left the movie theater and said "that was sad".

I'll be a big man and admit I shed a few tears, not only at the end but also during the recap in the beginning. Disney has it right on time when to release alittle tear gas into the air:lmao: The 3D glasses covered most of it up the only one who I think saw was my DW, she was crying like a baby:lmao:

yeah...not going to post any spoilers but during a certain scene in a certain room...and then at the certain scene where Andy makes a certain choice...:sad1:John Lasseter still has his hot wheel collection from when he was a kid, I think he really interjected a lot of his own personal feelings into this movie.
My DS who is almost 16 went with his friends the night before we did. When he came home he said it was the best movie he has ever seen, and that he almost cried....that got my curiosity up even more. Once I was watching it, I knew exactly where he meant..he has just about every toy still, has ALWAYS refused to get rid of them, now I have seen on the big screen exactly what he has been feeling all these years every time I try to get him to donate or *re-purpose* any. At first I was bummed I did not see the movie with him, but if I had been there with him, holy cow...I woudl have lost it BIG time!

Yes, I certainly did cry when Andy's mom was telling him goodbye and then Andy was giving the toys away. My DD17 called me a 'sap' - but I think that just comes with being a parent. :)

That's it EXACTLY! I cried for about 5 minutes towards the end and my 7 y.o. DS looked at me like, "What's wrong?" It was so beautiful! I am tempted to see it again already...and I don't usually do that. (We saw it on Father's Day; DS is 7 and DD is 20 months.) :lovestruc

I did. The end scene really got me when he is playing with his toys one last time. I'm about to cry right now just thinking about it. :sad1:

My mom cried too. It was a great movie.

My daughter was like that, refusing to let go of anything. But, after seeing that movie, she's decided that some of the toys she doesn't play with anymore would be happier if she gave them to someone who could play with them.
(she's only 5: and I'm pretty proud of her for thinking of that).

BTW, not to give away any spoilers, I got a little misty when the toys were in Andy's room for the last time, and totally lost it when I heard "My Cowboy"... pure heartbreak.

My older daughter is going to college in exactly 2 months so yeah, I bawled like a baby for most of the movie. My family spent that same amount of time laughing hysterically at me.

Can't wait to show this thread to my daughter! I cried at the beginning and the end! She went to a ballgame telling her friends that her mom cried like a baby. She then found out that all of her friends' moms did the same thing!!My DD is turning 16 in a few months and my DS is 12 and loved Toy Story. This movie is my favorite! I want to see it again!

I cried at the Princess and the Frog when Ray went to be with Evangeline.. I have not seen TS3 yet.. but I am sure I will cry.

LOL!! I saw the title of this thread before I watched the movie (yesterday), but I didn't want to open it (don't want to see any spoilers). And we went yesterday with DD1... thank goodness for squirmy baby. We knew we'd have to get in and out with her, so we sat on the last row by ourselves. When it got to those tear jerking scenes I was standing all the way by the door just holding my DD with tears flowing out. I was never so happy to be "bothered" during a movie before. I can't imagine what DH would say if he had seen me crying... I'd never hear the end of it...

But yeah, I cried... and cried some more... even now remembering the movie I got teary eyed.

I think this one is much better than the second one. Can't wait for the DVD so I can watch the whole thing. I am back in love with Toy Story... :)

My husband and two younger sons went and saw the movie. popcorn:: I lied and said I wanted to wait for it to come out on dvd. The truth was that I knew I would cry and didn't want to do it in front of them. When they got home they told me they cried. Guess I could have gone with them after all.

We saw it in Imax 3D yesterday. It was my DD's "last day of school surprise" and it was fabulous!!! And yes, I cried like a baby when Andy gave the little girl(can't remember her name right now) the toys...and I'm crying again now :confused3 Disney movies get me EVERY time...but that's why I love them

I was close, then remembered being a man I'm not allowed to cry.

:rotfl:

DW was a bit, and I know the lady behind us was as well. We were talking about it afterwards and DS6 (who used to love Buzz and call him Buzz Biteyear) couldn't figure out why we thought it was sad. He was focused on the toys going to the little girl and getting played with. I didn't really even focus on that until he mentioned it, and I'm guessing that's how most kids are going to look at it, while parents/adults are going to be looking at it from the "child leaving for college/moving away from home" viewpoint.

My youngest DS calls Buzz "Buzz Litebeer"! :rotfl2:

I too cried like a baby!! Our oldest DS was 4 when the first one came out and he is now in the Army. He loved the movie along with Buzz and Woody and had his room all decked out in Toy Story and had all the toys. Sitting there with our youngest, who is 4, just brought it all back to me and I realized just how much I miss our oldest. Oh gosh....where are my tissues. :sad1:

I loved the movie and cannot wait to go back and see it again!

Trish

I had tears pouring uncontrollably down my face--no tissues handy...wasn't expecting to cry at this movie! I did not know what to do with the mess! Now, I thought the movie "Up" was depressing. I never want to see it again. TS3, however, caused more of a wonderful emotion in me--not depression. I loved, loved, loved TS3!!!
