Hi All ~ We did about 4 hours at Cedar Point this morning. Millenium Force truly IS the best ride in the world! The park itself is lovely. Just walking around was awesome. If you like Frontierland, you'll love the back end of Cedar Point. In fact, it's BETTER than Frontierland! We had lunch at TGIFridays in Hotel Breakkers. I think we'll book there next time. It has a Grand Floridian meet Beach Club look and feel. I love being on the lake....reminds me of the ocean! We are resting in room and then tour our resort, maybe take a horse and carriage ride later and of course do the indoor waterpark again! Tomorrow is Cedar Point day again! S

Thanks for the Cedar Point TR.:goodvibes
We looked at booking a trip there last summer, looked at Hotel Breakers for accomodations.
When I added up all the cost, my husband said, to look at the cost of Disney with free dining. We made it on the very last day to book, and went the last week of Aug. :cool1:
The cost difference wasn't that much.:confused3
We since bought BW DVC in Jan.:cool1:
Cedar Point may be an option when kids are a bit older(and I've used up all my points:rolleyes1 ) as they're still not into the thrill rides.
I am interested in hearing all your details.

I am really enjoying your trip report.

How did you ever figure out what resort to stay at? I was on the web site and have no idea where to being.

The resort you posted about yesterday looks amazing.

We went a couple of summers ago and loved it there! :)

Great rides and having some great hotels right there and being on the lake is fabulous! I do agree though that the cost isn't cheap and deals are few and far between.

Hi ~ We are paying $179US a night for accomodations and water park[$199US with tax] at the Kalahari. It is up there with Disney Deluxe resorts, but Kalahari has a state of the art indoor & outdoor water park. The cost of the waterpark per person is $35US. Calculating $35USx4 people=$140US per day. Therefore our room can be said to be $40 a night. We are WATER people, so it's totally worth it! There is a baby tiger in the lobby, horse drawn carriage rides $5.00 per person. Totally deluxe stuff! We already have Cedar Fair seasons passes from Wonderland, so Cedar Park is included. We have eaten well! I'd say that this trip will add up to over $1000 for four days. That's $250 a day for four people = $60+ a day per person. Disney costs us over $100 a day per person. I LOVE Cedar Point! My kids are asking to come back. My 13 yr old dd likes this trip better than Disney trips! Only 5.5 hours in a car and we are having an awesome trip! Blessings, S
