Well, I went to the store yesterday and they had a huge display of crocs. :confused3 Which I know everyone on this board loves but they are UGLY but I am a person who believes in a comfy pair of shoes over fashion so I try one on!! they are awesome!!! :cloud9: so I bought a pair.

My DS ages almost 3 and 5 think they are so funny looking :confused3 they want a pair :rotfl: :rotfl: DH said No Way will he wear them

So anyone debating about crocs Go get them!! :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Do they make your feet sweat? That would be my main concern, I agree with comfort over fashion, but they look like they would make your feet sweat. Where did you get them? What color did you get??

I'm with you. I don't own a pair because I also think they are ugly. Comfort is a must at WDW. I may just have to get a pair. The things we do for Disney! Why not wear Crocs? You surely wouldn't catch me wearing a fanny pack anywhere other than WDW, but I wear it proudly while I'm there. Here's to happy feet. :thumbsup2

I also thought they were ugly. But everyone kept telling me " Get them you will love them" so I did. Bought 3 pairs. I got all beach style. I got a black pair, dh got a dark chocolate pair, and Ds got navy blue.
I wore mine to work the other night. Am a nurse's aide and they were awesome. No pain in my feet or back.
I have wore them with and without socks and there is alittle sweating but not bad. I love them and so does my family.
I bought all 3 pairs at Dillards for like $31. Well worth it.

First, I'd like to say, I love my crocs. I love how ugly they are, and I like to wear them both with and without socks. I find that the holes give great ventilation, and the option of using the strap or going without is a flexibility that I value highly. They're *wonderful* beach shoes, because the sand comes in but it goes right back out again, and you can wear them right into the water--something that makes a big difference to me, because I have sensitive feet and the sand on a beach feels like I'm walking on glass shards when I'm barefoot. I fully intend to get my children crocs for our trip this fall, because I think they're so great and so versatile.

However, there's not enough arch support in a croc for me, and my podiatrist has forbidden me to wear them. So, if you need arch support, you should really take a second look before you buy crocs. I have "very" high arches, by the way, which was a surprise to me because I thought my feet were normal and everyone else had flat feet. :rotfl:

I just bought my first pair last weekend. I'm still trying to get used to them. They are comfortable but my feet sweat like crazy in them and normally I don't have that problem in shoes - especially in the house. I haven't worn them out of the house yet so not sure how comfortable they are on cement, driving, etc.

Man, you Croc-o-holics are starting to sound like a cult!

With all these posts, perhaps the DIS should set up a special forum for you. Even better, how 'bout a Crocs/Dyson Forum?? ;)

I actually ordered the Nile from Crocs last week. I like them, not not as much as I hoped I would. they feel a little squishier than I had thought they would. Now, today, I stopped in at Payless to check out their brand of Crock-a-likes...and boy am I glad I did!!! They are SOOO comfy, and feel like the have a bit more substance and arch to them. I bought a pair for each of my DD's too. And, the best part is the price!! Half that of Crocs! :thumbsup2

I have heard--and I don't have firsthand experience with this--that the croc lookalikes break down faster and tend to smell bad after a while. I heard this from a kid I know, when I was checking around before buying crocs. I don't know what brand of lookalike she had experience with, though, because that was the first time I had even heard that there *were* croc lookalikes.

So I was poking around the croc website and found a link to "Crocs Rx" which only had a "Coming Soon" sort of site. I sent off an e-mail, and this is what I got back today:

Good Morning Dawn, our website will go live this Friday, March 10th www.crocsrx.com.

Before the close of this year, we will have a CrocsRx shoe that will accommodate high arches. Please check back with us in August 2006. In the meantime, please let us know if we can help you with anything else.

Wooohooo! I'm very happy! :cloud9:

I just read a thread that says they are coming out with a new croc for those with high arch supports. They are coming in August 2006

I am also a new card carrying member of The Croc Club. :thumbsup2

Aren't they surprisingly comfortable?! And.......they are great conversation starters. I can't tell you how many times someone has commented on my new crocs during the past 2 weeks. :rotfl2:
