Can anyone help me out with some cute ideas for Easter party treats for my sons 3rd grade? I'm looking along the healthy line, I know the other mom is planning a cookie on a stick treat. I'm trying to avoid the carrott sticks with dip, but may use this as a last resort.

Ok so this isn't the healthiest idea, but I make birds nests using rice crispy treats (fruity pebbles) and putting the mix into muffin tins. Then adding a small dot of frosting to hold a peep and a couple chocolate M&M eggs inside. They are really cute and everyone loves them!

What about a cheese/fruit tray? Bite sized cheese cubes, strawberries, grapes, melon balls ... and then a cream cheese dip for the fruit?

"Ants on a Log"....put raisins on a celery stick that has peanut butter on it.

Apple slices and caramel dip.

Oatmeal/raisin cookies.

Pretzels and natural peanut butter as a dip.

Trail mix.

Have a fun party!:cutie:

It's not the healtiest of snacks but I always fill frosting bags( the triagle looking ones you would use to decorate a cake) with cheese balls and then tie the top with a green ribbon to make it look like a carrot. The kids love it and it looks adorable!

A popular snack in my daycare is deviled eggs, we just went to the egg farm yesterday so we could take a tour and we brought home eggs, so tomorrow we will make deviled eggs with them. THe kids just love them, I would not think they would but they do. I am not a big egg person but all our kiddos love them.:confused3

I saw this in a magazine and plan to try it. They stuffed plastic eggs with rice crispy treats. I'm planning to wash the eggs really well then spray them lightly with Pam so the treats will come out egg shaped. They looked really cute. :goodvibes

Do you think they'd eat carrot cake? Still not the healthiest option, but at least it contains vegetables and is traditonal for Easter.

You could skip the frosting to reduce some sugar, but of course that's everyone's favorite (you could call them carrot muffins).

These sound so cute and easy!

I was gong to make bunny face cupcakes (M&M eyes and nose, mini marshmallow cheeks and 1/2 large marshmallow ears with pink sprinkles) but your idea sounds much quicker!

Thanks for the idea.

Thanks so much for all the wonderful ideas. I found out another mom is providing the healthy snack, so I'm free to come up with whatever. I'm tempted to try the rice crispy treat in the egg idea, but it looks like a lot of work. I was a failure at making rice crispy treats the one and only time I tried them!!:lmao:

Not a really a treat idea, but a way of serving it.........buy those cute Easter cupcake tins, put some basket grass in them and then lay the treat inside of the cupcake tin, it is a cute presentation. It would work with trail mix, pretzels, candy, etc.

Right now, they are selling Easter marshmallows (pastel shapes of chicks and rabbits) and I think they have a recipe on the bag for a trail mix using the marshmallows, called Spring Mix or something like that, I made it last year for my son's Kindergarten class. I brought small Ziploc bags along in case the kids wanted to take it home........sometimes there are too many snacks and they can't eat it all. Have fun!!

I'm glad I'm not the only one! Two years ago I made green rice crispy Christmas trees with mini M&M decorations. I packed the rice crispys so tight that they were hard as a rock. :rotfl: I'm hoping I'll do better with the eggs. :)

I made chocolate covered pretzel rods and covered them with easter sprinkles and put them in bags, tide with ribbon and placed a cute label with a bunnie on it "Happy Easter" from DS4. :goodvibes

I used the chocolate dip microwaveable chocolate and just used a pastry brush to apply it to the pretzels -no mess!

Thanks to everyone for their wonderful ideas. I chose the idea above and it was a hit! The kids loved it. It was so easy to do, and boy did the other moms think I was something else:lmao: Thanks again for all your responses. I now have a lot of great ideas for future parties.
