I could be having that problem when i go back to work in January.

So if i book early enough i can claim it as prebooked holiday ;) :lmao:

very clever, although it doesn't always work out - my company insisted somebody who recently joined took their pre-booked holiday as unpaid leave, so it doesn't really gain very much.

Bob, just seen your posts! This is a nice decision to make. Having been to Alnwick Gardens I would go for the treehouse for a winter wedding it looks much cosier. I do love that waterfall though-is there any way you could move your guests round there for them to have a look at it? Although as your having it in Feb I suppose it may be frozen in bad weather :scared: ??

I love the cosy feel of The Treehouse, but it is quite packed in and we are very worried that people wouldn't be able to mix. Plus, there isn't as much room for entertainment, etc. It is very special though.

The Pavillion room has the view over the fountain, but we can pay for the fountain to still be on and lit up... We could ask guests to go from the Treehouse, but it is quite a walk. And guests can look around the gardens for free with the wedding, so it seems like it would be a shame to waste this oppertunity....

Hence more confusion!

If it's frozen, then that can sometimes look just as nice - seeing the frozen waterfalls and rivers is something I love seeing when I visit Slovenia in the winter.

What did you buy then!? Tell me! You know I worship that garden centre! :worship:

Haha! I bought a 6ft xmas tree (we were meant to be a slim one but we seem to have come home with a bug one ;) )

Loads of really pretty gold/bronze tree decorations to add to the ones I got from M+S, a gold fairy for the top (she is very pretty and not trashy!), a sort of wooden bronze snowman that lights up (he will look fab in front of our fireplace), some clear fairy lights, mini stocking to hang around the house and a cute cuddly snowman to sit in out kitchen window! Phew!:)

Oooh that does sound nice!! For value for money then the pavillon sounds good! You can make lots of decorations for the pavillon to dress it up?

My aunt would decorate the place with flowers, and once we had the tables in and things like that it wouldn't look too empty at all....

Your green colours would look lovely in there too. I've been in the pavillon and it such a nice modern space, type of room you could do what you wanted with, and toilets in there are really posh!:rotfl:

As well its just the one room, not the huge cavernous space I was expecting!

Lol- The woman asked us if we wanted to see the Toilets because they're posh, and I was dying laughing until I realised she was being serious! :lmao:

Will do once its all up (which I think will be very soon as I'm really excited!). Just off to eat my dinner will be back in a bit.

Sorry about the bug tree! BIG tree obviously!

2 days unpaid leave doesn't really bother me.

There is a phone next to the loo in the Hotel New York toilets too. But I agree the Disneyland hotel ones are way better!!

I'm back! Oh by the way Bob I went to the pets bit of the garden centre and I now want a pet tortoise!:rotfl:
