OT - Chat Chat Away

Morning everyone!
Been into work, got sorted there, now all I have to do is decide when to pick Mum up and go and get some bits and pieces for tomorrow. It's SO cold out though!

I know! We've got fog as well this morning, it is clearing a little but my car is still iced up and I really can't be bothered to de-ice it, going to have to so I can pick Mum up!

I'm so glad where I park my car at night is sheltered, otherwise i get frost on the inside!

When we swapped over back from my dads car yesterday (i used it over xmas as my parents are abroad) I had to de ice and scrape the outside, and then sit and scrape the inside too.

I hate my car!

Thank goodness my car doesn't get that bad! Just had a phone call off Mum, she's got a cough and doesn't want to go out so I'll do the shopping and take some stuff up to her.

Once I've been out though that will be it, will get nice and cosy and in for the rest of the day (hopefully).
I've got the heating on and I'm still cold, think I'll need to do my exercises to warm up!! (haven't done them yet!)

me and DD have just been out to feed the ducks to get rid of loads of stale bread - it was freezing.

we are now warming up with hot cocolate and playing disney trivial persit

I'm enjoying my second to last day of fatty food!

Currenty eating a huge cheese and coleslaw roll, with prawn cocktail walkers.

Mmmmm yeah.

Make me hungry why don't you!! I'm starving, realised I'd had no lunch!
Got to Mum's just after 1pm with her shopping, decided to sort her DVD player (she's just got a new tv with only one scart socket so I took my spare one) in between me trying to sort it out (Mum forgot to mention that the DVD player wouldn't eject a disc!) the digital totally went off - 3 1/2 hours later (with the help of my cousin Kevin) we finally sorted it - the cable from the aerial to the booster had broken off - by this time we'd been up in the loft, changed televisions over, cables you name it! Still thankfully it's all sorted now (apart from the DVD player!!) and she's happy!
So I've done nothing but that all afternoon so my plans have gone up in smoke but there you go!

It hasn't stopped freezing here all day, fog never really lifted either.

Hot chocolate and Disney Trivial Pursuit sound lovely - so far for this evening we are playing Cluedo, but there will be a Disney game in there as well we've just not decided which one yet!

Wee Joshua is allergic to one of his xmas toys according to the nurse on NHS 24???? Last night came down the stairs with a big massive puffy eye poor wee lad! Looked like someone had punched him! Its still swollen today but not anything to write home about!

This place is a tip, I'm fed up with it!

Sorry to hear about Joshua. I've never heard of a toy allergy My eye went like that once when I took ibuprofen. I would want to get one of those allergy tests done.

My house looks like student digs. The christmas tree is looking sad, the carpet is threadbare and there are toys EVERYWHERE. Oh well.

his bedroom floor is covered in new toys. I've never heard of a toy allergy either, maybe they were just saying that to get me off the phone!

thing is he's ok now like I said, he was really upset lastnight though thinking his eye was going to fall out! poor mite!

My sister bought my daughter a fur real puppy thing, and she came out in a rash all over her body. We took it back to the shop & they were very good and exchanged it for something else. Hope he is ok, poor boy.

Actually there was the sofa scandal on Watchdog where people who had bought leather sofas from 'World of Leather' all came out in a terrible rash. Safety standards for toys are usually so rigorous though. Poor little thing. Let's hope he doesn't get a toy phobia!
