Hahaha I am sure she and you will do fine!!! I am sure she is far more nervous than you! Having got friends who have just finished being NQT's I heard all about the stress!

Yeah, I'm sure she is nervous this evening too! I've had quite a few students in the past but this time I am more nervous some how. Maybe its because I'm the only teacher having a student this year, the head didn't want any other teachers having to demo to them and mentor them.

Hmmmm I am just ptricing up disney cruises for Dec 2010 its interesting you can book them so far in advance ;)

My Mum paid for Robert and me to have night and a meal in this hotel: http://www.thewitchery.com/home.html for my 21st birthday (Which was in December).... :goodvibes

Thanks! It's going to be a once in a lifetime experience for me (Unless I become a millionaire...!).... My Mum got me this because I've never had a major birthday party or anything.... :goodvibes

I intend to photograph anything and everything!! :lmao:

I'm sure you will have a lovely time Bob.

I'm a little nervous about work tomorrow. I have a student starting tomorrow who I have to mentor through her final teaching practice (she will teach my class) so she has to observe me teaching for a few weeks first. I need to make sure my lessons are really good!

I think you'll be great, I'm pretty sure your student will be nervous as well - best of luck anyhow.

Evening everyone! Have just been sat watching telly the past few hours (Dancing on Ice and catching up with ER) and also playing Tetris on the DS at the same time (am hooked on that game again, esp the "Push" mode, if any of you are playing it). Have quite a sore right thumb lol.

We looked at those too and seriously considered one. But then I remembered that I get really, really sea sick so I'm not sure a cruise would be a good idea :lmao: Maybe I should try a short one 1st before spending a lot of money on a Disney one!!

Good evening,

I've had a rather productive day today for some reason. I've managed to finish the writing part of my trip report and also managed to get all the pre-reading done for my project which means I have a vague idea of what is required of me (an awful lot as mentioned before).

I'm glad everybody here seems to have faith in my ability to finish it - at the moment I'm feeling a little overwhelmed about it all. I've got an idea of what I'd like to do, so I'm hoping to fin a way to formulate that into a research question and project title and have that accepted by my supervisor (once I know who that is).

It's not actually much different in size to the one I did just over two years for my BSc, but there's more research and analysis this time as it's an MSc project which therefore needs to be a more "unique contribution to knowledge" than the BSc one was (though it's not as bad as a Phd project thankfully).

The loss of my summer break does of course mean that my DL trip report once again goes to the back of the queue. I will get it finished eventually and hopefully the first couple of weeks will be light enough to try and finish it sooner rather than later, before the workload gets heavy and it ends up having to wait until the summer before being finished (almost a year after the trip).

Robert got seriously addicted to DS Tetris a while ago... He was seeing the blocks in his sleep... Seriously!

There shall be plenty of piccies! :goodvibes

Who went out on Dancing on Ice? I watched the first one but missed the results show and I promised Id tell DD who got knocked out

Wikipedia is usually pretty good at answering questions like this - try looking up dancing on ice there and I'm sure somebody will have already updated the page :goodvibes

Thank you I'll look in a minute when I get chance. Im a bit distracted at the moment

Graeme (footballer guy) went out. It was between him & Donal - they both skated much better in the skate-off actually but Donal was much better. Can't believe Todd stayed in but I guess all Eastenders fans & cast must've voted to keep him in lol. I do pity poor Kristina though (Graeme's partner) - last year, she had Greg Rusedski as her partner and he wasn't quite a skater either lol.

thanks - id just followed Robs advice and looked on Wikepedia but it didnt say who else was in the skate off so at least Ive got all the facts now for her

Morning all :wave2:

I hate being back at work. Mainly becuase I have to work loads to earn the flexi time off for my March trip. That and this week is going to be stupidly busy!

Morning!! Had to be at school by 8.20 this morning as they've just started morning exercise sessions for Year 2 kids today. I thought having to get to school for 8.30 on Thurs mornings (for choir) is early enough lol. Luckily, the school's only about 4 mins walk away.

I've just booked our May half-term break - yay. We're off to Sandy Balls in New Forest - lovely name lol (here's the link if anyone wants to have a nosey - https://www.sandy-balls.co.uk/). We've been to Bournemouth and thereabouts but not actually in the 'middle'. So am really looking forward to it. Friends have highly recommended the place. I've booked a caravan - wanted a lodge but it was £200 more expensive (even the caravan's more expensive than usual). Now, just hope for dry weather then.

Am off out now to take Adam to softplay. So have a good day and catch ya later!

:wave2: Enjoy softplay. I'd rather be anywhere than at work today
