Morning excercise sessions?

Sounds harsh, but I bet the kids think its fun.

Nah, it's a fun thing. I was wondering when they'd start at Louise's school actually. A friend of mine is a part-time aerobics instructor and her son's school (not around here but somewhere in Essex) has asked her to do a similar thing first thing in the morning. She said it's fun and it really gets the kids going! Well, I'll find out how it went from Louise later. For all I know, she might not want to go back again next week :rotfl:

Morning all, just booked 2 Travelodge breaks in the £19 sale, for Legoland and Alton Towers. We will have Merlin passes this year and I want to make sure we get full use out of them, we are going to be weekended out.

That sounds brill. I think I must go check that out and also any other deals they might have. Do they have family rooms in Travelodge? I want to go to Legoland again (with Tesco vouchers;) ) but I don't really want to drive all that way and back. I know we've done it before and TBH, it's not that far but I think it'd be better if we could spend the night somewhere nearby the night before, visit Windsor etc... and possibly spend 2 days in Legoland if they have a weekend deal or something.

Yes we have a family room - it's a king size bed and a small sofa bed (you'd only get 1 adult on it). Basic but perfectly adequate especially for £19. For legoland you could use Bracknell, Bracknell Central, Windsor or Slough but do check the parking as I know Windsor has no free parking. Book quick though as the sale started today and sells out quickly....

Haha - we just got our post in, which is usually mainly returns.

Except one of the parcels was a return for Ann Summers (HQ is just down the road) and not us!

:lmao: Needless to say one of the guys in the office opened it....

It's called 'the conquerer' and i shall say no more!

Lovely...

I've just seen the submission dates for my project and I have to produce something every 2 weeks (including 2 weeks from today).

Fortunately most of these are quite short (500 - 1,000 words for most, with one being about 1,500 words) but even so, it's going to be tricky fitting them in around my normal evening activities ;)

Haha, you dont sound impressed byt the higlight of your office day.

Once every two weeks is pretty harsh for assignments. I do miss uni though...

I hate project (aka dissertation) time - I have a friend who will happily confirm that even regular assignments get me quite worked up and stressed - final projects are even worse.

Most of the assignments are "progress updates" so it's not too bad, but it's still something I have to find the time to write and to write well.

If you miss uni that much, you could always be crazy like I was and do an MSc (or equivalent) part time alongside your full-time day job - you get loads of free time to live your life ;)

Haha - sadly the part of uni I miss is staying in bed till 2pm and getting wrecked a few times a week....

Don't think a part time MSc could offer me that....:lmao:

DH is a chartered accountant who leaves the house at 6.30 am and doesn't get home until 8.30 ish usually. He has just started a Masters with the OU and is doing it part-time over 6 years. He has 2 small children and a wife who keeps booking Disney trips. He got 95% in his first essay. *Proud smile*
He must be insane.

at least he's allowed to do it over 6 years. The one I'm doing, I'm allowed no more than 3 years for.

You're right though. coming from the voice of somebody doing a part time Masters degree alongside a full time job - He's insane (I didn't realise I was insane for doing mine until it was too late :rotfl: )

It's because it's OU I think (unless that's who you're with?)...it would be 3 yrs but he is only doing it for half the year. If work gets busy he's doing 16 hour days so OU work will go out of the window. He tries not to do any OU work at the weekend when the children are awake so it is rather restricting...

Yes - mine's done through the university of Hertfordshire so the "base" rate is 1 year as per the standard time a degree should take.

As I'm doing it part time, I am allowed to take either 2 or 3 years - I've opted for 2 years as I'd rather just work my way through it.

My mum has found out bout the Oct trip I was pre-planning and she said if i go she won't pay for my new carpets.

I think she is going to win on this one :(
