Is anyone else not feeling really Christmassy or is it just me? I think because we are not hosting Christmas this year I am not having to prepare like I usually do and so I'm not really in the Christmas mood!

Ive been finding it very hard to get myself in the Christmas mood at all. I am preparing Christmas lunch as usual and even though Im going through with getting things sorted I still feel as though its weeks away

I'm just not in the mood for it all this year for some reason. No sure why really. We have to go to the inlaws tomorrow evening for dinner which I thought I would enjoy, but I don't really want to do that now.

I'm just not in the mood for it all this year for some reason. No sure why really. We have to go to the inlaws tomorrow evening for dinner which I thought I would enjoy, but I don't really want to do that now.

I'm not quite in the mood yet, mainly because the house is a mess lol. I haven't had time to sort things out yet (both pre-holiday & post-holiday mess!) as we have been out yesterday & today. However, I have decided that we won't be going out tomorrow (well, apart from maybe to get some petrol), so, the day will be spent putting things away and emptying the front room out for pressies etc. It's a kind of mess where you don't know where to start and each time I look at it, I just want to screeeeeeaaaaam !!! But all will be okay by tomorrow afternoon...hopefully

I'm just going to pick my Son up from work, wonder how busy they've been tonight! Once I get back I'm going to change into my pjs and relax, need to put the washer on as well I think. Then all my craft stuff needs to find a home elsewhere otherwise we'll have no where to sit for Christmas dinner!!

I worked in bluewater for 3 christmases over my teens - xmas eve and boxing day! Even did 8am-10pm some days...

Would drive me mad now!! Don;t know how teenagers do it on top of school and everything else!

DS3 is doing an 18hr shift today and is then in work tomorrow again, off Christmas day then back in Boxing day for the sales to start

I worked doing silver service at a Hilton hotel one Christmas day. It was actually quite good fun as all my friends worked there too, but I wouldn't do it again. The best bit was when the chef came in holding the flaming christmas pudding, then dropped it as he tripped up over a step! Luckily by the time it landed the flames had gone out and we had a spare one in the kitchen!!

Well son picked up and he's soaking in the bath as we 'dis'. He says it's been really busy today (he works at the local supermarket as well as at college) and each til (not sure how many tills they have) took over £12,000. He's off now until Sunday, doesn't normally work a Tuesday but as they are closed on Boxing Day he had to do his shift on another evening. The girls have finished work now, DD1 just has to go in next Monday and Friday on half days whilst DD2 is off like me until January 5th.
