Morning:goodvibes

You can have a glass of water when you have a blood test. My mum has had loads as she is a diabetic & has to fast, the nurse told her to drink water as they struggle to get her blood otherwise.

That makes sense as your viens go really small when you are dehaydrated.

I'm having a nightmare sorting out travel insurance. All i want is insurance that covers myself, my 18yr old and my 14yr old with £5000 cancellation/curtailment.
You would have thought that it would be easy wouldn't you but nope it's all either £3000 cover or a family is classed as husband/wife or partners and their child/children.
ARRRRGGGGGG :headache: :headache:

yeah thats what i was hoping but i have some days with a hundred pics and some with only five lol. i am gonna make a go of day one now

Morning :)

My sister was under the impression that she couldn't have anything to eat or drink. Either she didn't listen properly or she wasn't told, knowing my sister she probably didn't listen.

Apparently its not a known thing. My mum didn't know until the nurse mentioned it. Next time get your sister to ask. One glass of water shouldn't effect the results.

My mums veins always collapse when she has blood taken, so the water helps rehydrate.

Yep i have been using them, i got a really good quote for Columbus but when i rang to explain that the 2nd adult was my Daughter not my partner i was told that she would have to have her own insurance.
The whole family thing is a bit of a minefield. I have 2 quotes that would cover us but they are both over £100 and to be honest i was hoping to get it a bit cheaper.

We use AA, however seems more expensive now than when I last used them.

Try this company: http://www.direct-travel.co.uk we used them for when we went to NY

Thanks, i got all excited for a minute as it is exactly what i need. I can insure my eldest and it includes schelduled airline cover at a great price.
Now for the sad part.... It only covers cancellation up to £3000 :sad1: :sad1: I am ging to give them a ring and see if they have anything else not on their website
