OT - Chat Chat and More Chat

I just went out into the back garden to feed the bunnies and I had to put my wellies on! We have about 8 inches of snow! My bunnies are now in the garden playing in it! The cats have decided it is too cold and are sleeping in the conservatory!! The police have just announced on the radio for people not to travel unless it is an emergency and they have closed loads of the roads leading into our town. When I went outside to feed the bunnies it was so eerily quiet.

Sounds like what we had! The kids' wellies weren't high enough lol. I didn't have any wellies, so I had to put my leather boots on and I was so worried that I'd ruin them. But so far so good.

Loads of snow here and school is closed plus DH is home so a snowman day I think! But DS is currently sulking because he was going to go to the shops to spend some of his birthday money on a Ben10 figure after school today.

aw bless! i'm so jealous of everyone with their snow! all we have is wind and rain, all i want to do is go and build a snowman and chuck some snow balls at my housemate!

Our snow is now ice, even getting onto the pavement outside my house was hell. Me and Kyra had to walk in the road to get to school.

The highlands have snow!!!! Schools here as far as I know are stilll open...my kids are gutted!!! Had to wear wellies this morning! yaaaay!!

Took my wee mans ski suit off and his snow boots only to be told to put them back on as they are going for a walk!!.....nutters!!!lol

Ellie just text to say that the paths are terrible in Gillingham. She has a hospital appointment this morning and I'm stupidly scared of her falling over!

Oh well, I'm home again today. Adam refused to turn into the road leading to the main road after dropping Louise off at school this morning (the way home is straight). Even bribes of getting on the bus or buying sweeties in town wasn't enough to persuade him. Don't blame him really as it's soooo much more icier & slippery today than it was yesterday and I found myself kind of slipping quite a few times. I might do a bit more shovelling - I cleared a path outside my front door yesterday and boy, was it hard work! lol. I might be a good citizen and do the pavement in front of my house - quite a few of my neighbours did that yesterday, so there were a few 'good' patches to walk on. I just hope by some miracle, the ice on the road will melt today (hahahahahaaa) so that I can get my car out and drive somewhere. Really miss the car too lol.
