I'm one of the lucky ones that has been pretty much b2b for the past week. I had to go in and change my categories a few times but it seems to have helped.

Not that it matters at this point - a whopping 2 questions for the entire week - but which category do I put my issue in for feedback? The issue being that I can hear the doorbell but the white page that pops up asking if you accept or decline the question never shows the question. All I get is a big white box. To top it off, those questions are being counted as incomplete!

:confused3 I never even had the chance to accept or decline it so how can it be incomplete on my end.

I just want to cry too.

Those white box questions count against us!!!!!!!!!!! :scared1: That's not fair. I've had several of those. How can we complete the question if we never see it??

Maggie

i would use the new universe problem category for feedback on the white box issue. i've never heard of an unaccepted query being counted as incomplete-definitely send feedback on that one.

I didn't think those would count against us and I don't think they should but it did count against me. I was checking my earnings, a whopping 20 cents this week (don't spend it all in one place) and there it was a big fat zero for a question I never saw.

:headache:

Well, these technically might not be an unaccepted query. Because you actually click on accept button and then the box comes up but no question. Its not like the case where it will say "Sorry, you took too long to accept this query."

Last week I barely made over 200 questions. If those count against me, I probably won't make top guide again!!

What other companies do the same type of things that ChaCha is doing? I like the ChaCha type work, but I think the ChaCha ship has sailed. Do you know of any other companies that I could apply to?

I'm staying with ChaCha at least until I make my $100.00 by Dec. 15th (I'm at $94.00 now). Then, if the issues aren't fixed, I'll probably be looking for greener pastures.

If you don't mind my asking, about how many categories have you entered interests into?
I've recently heard on the ChaCha forums that we should only have 20-25 categories, which conflicts with what I heard a couple of weeks ago...when I was still getting queries.

I have keywords in every category. I have almost 1000 keywords. I wasn't getting questions until I entered something into every single category.

Thanks for that info - I got 3 questions all day today and I'm assuming I need to add more interests. I was entering things I know about already or have a real interest in, so I suppose I'll just have to think of interests in more categories!

I would recommend adding as much as you can! It seems to have helped a lot. I actually answered over 200 last week and I'm pretty close to that for this week. Much better than the week before when I only answered 40.

From what I've read and finally did, it's better to have lots of interests under fewer categories. I had put 1-2 interests in lots of categories and wasn't getting any questions (only 10-15 total in 3 days), then last night I got rid of some of the categories and added more interests to the ones I know more about and I was B2B today.

I was pretty steady over the weekend, but I never logged out (just set myself away). I had to log out in order to bring my laptop back to work, and now I've got nothing.

To the person who asked about chachaing for Disney, that's my plan after I pay off my credit card. I'm down to $1800 from $7000 in August and will pay it off if I can make $700 chachaing this month. That seems unlikely right now.

Did you make that much the past few months cha chaing? to pay down 7000 to 1800! I am impressed!!!!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Gobble - Gobble!

ChaCha posted Thursday's top guide list after midnight this morning or is it last night? All I know is it was posted by the time I got up to catch some questions at 2:30 AM.

Anyway, good luck to all of you.

I made it, with a little help from above. :worship:

I haven't gotten my performance email yet, but I made it.:yay:

I hope that everyone has a safe holiday and enjoys eating turkey, tofurkey. oysters or what ever else you all have for dinner today! :grouphug:

Why are they deactivating some people?

Its funny-dh just came home the other day with a atricle about how chacha is not making money and its a start up..blah blah then I found out 2 people were cut and then I was cut.I was a good guide too!

Well, good to know I'm not alone in being deactivated. Chacha's ship has sailed, and now they're sinking faster then the Titantic. Even worse -they can't be honest about it to the guides and others who work for them. They system is so screwed up that they are making guides "work" to arrange categories and interests, and even after doing that, many people still aren't b2b with questions. But don't try to post that on the forums, they'll just delete it.

Do you get penalized for declining questions?

as of right now, the chacha forum moderators say that declining questions doesn't count against you, but if it is abused, it could in the future. at least you have questions to decline, i take whatever they send my way. just got a really yucky one about age of consent if the male is over 45...ewwwwwww. :scared:
