Can you give an example of what you typed in the box. I read the manual, but I still don't really get it (not am I getting questions).
I have lots of interests and was getting lots of questions.
But, in movies do you type in VERY specific such as released movie titiles?
What do you put for Explicit :scared1:

I don't think your post was snarky at all. You are tying to be helpful. (I have read some quite snarky posts over on the ChaCha forum...some people  ).

Sure. For example, if you go under Business, there's Advertising and Marketing. I typed in commercial and ad. Careers & employment I typed in manager and buyer. And so forth. Under real estate, I typed in housing, market, foreclose. That's an example of few interests under something I don't feel great answering.

Under movies I did get very specific and named movies that either I know very well or that are popular or recent. Under football, I typed in every college team I could think of, coaches, the word "score". Under political figures, I typed any name I could think of in recent politics. I also typed in foreign leaders under that category. That's examples of what I did with categories that I felt good about.

Basically, under categories that you feel comfortable with, don't hold back. Type whatever interest you can think of as long as it's pretty relevent to the category. They'll be unhappy if you go too far outside the category (according to the Knowledge Base do's and don't's). Under ones you don't feel comfortable with, just put a few key words.

I started counting the interests I had put in. I stopped counting at 100 and I was probably about 1/2 way done counting.

Hope this helps! :thumbsup2 Good luck!

Wow. It does (well, I hope). Thanks so much for the reply.

You are welcome! I'm no expert by any means, and it might go away as fast as it came, but it's working right now!

BTW, I ignored the Xplicit category completely. I really don't need that hassle in my life! ;)

Thank you for the tips! It has helped me be B2B or nearly B2B since last night! Which means more Disney souvenir money for next month! :woohoo: :dance3:  :cool1: :cheer2:

I really think it is server issues. I has a good run yesterday with about 150, then this afternoon again 115. I logged out and back in tonight and NOTHING. I used to work with IT and this definitely seems like programming and server issues, in fact ChaCha admitted they are still having problems with the Specialist software. I really think it is a luck of the draw whether you get logged into a good server.

GOOD LUCK DIS-ers!!!!!

I'm glad to hear some of you are having good luck. I've done it all, and still nothing. :guilty:

Well, I cleared and reset everything, and kept logging in until I got a good server, and now I've been almost b2b for less than an hour and have made $4 in that time. hope it keeps up!

I have deleted my categories and interests, added a ton of new ones. Logged on and off and on and off for two hours now and not one question! I give up! I sent a question to them via Feedback, but I don't really expect an answer back any time soon.

All I got was a message saying the video didn't exsist anymore, and something about the Simpsons. :confused3

Darn it! this skit is so funny.

I will try to find another link to this, I really want everyone to enjoy the irony of it compared to ChaCha's tech department. :rotfl2:

I luckily was back to back last night after adding the categories and logging on and off to find a good server! But the questions were all science so I was earning about $3 an hour - can't complain though beats the $1 I was getting last week!

Me too. I've set up catagories, everything. I must have logged out 4-5 times last night trying to get a good server.

I had about 3 questions in 30 minutes, and one of them was the same person asking the same question twice!

I think I make more money on ebay selling theme park merchandise.

I'm glad it's not me. I was on last night for over two hours. Logging on and off. Waiting. Changing things around. Anything I could think of!! And still nothing.

It really makes it worse when you have some guides back to back, and some with little or no questions at all. Then it causes even more friction and anger in my opinion. :sad2:

Putting in lots of categories and many interests helps a lot.
One ChaCha message from HQ said to put in up to 100 interests in a category (seems we are getting away from the specialist idea).
For literature I just put in a lot of books I have read and many authors. I guess that is what they want. :confused3

I am not B2B, but it is a lot better.

Good luck everyone.

I made a whopping $3.80 this past weekend. I'm beyond upset. I have done every suggestion listed. Stil nothing. I really need to hear something from HQ because I absolutely need to figure out if this is worth my time.

There is a copied response on the forum from someone that wanted to know why some had questions and some didn't. The response says that there isn't anything we can do. There is a tech problem on their end.

My husband sent in a inquiry yesterday, and received a text back that "Due to high volume, we cannot answer your question right now." I really hope some of you all were busy, because it is ridiculous! I was on for almost an hour the other night, and got a whopping 1 question. Yet, when my friend texted a question for an Address (not directions, and address) it took 15 minutes to get an answer back! She even resent the text about halfway through, and got a generic "we are working on your request" text back- there is NO reason why this address should have taken more than 2 minutes- it was an address for a local hospital.

I am going to try to get enough to get paid in December, then I am canceling my account. I really think that ChaCha is shooting themselves in the foot- guides can't get questions, yet it takes 15 minutes to get an address, or you don't get an answer period? Something is majorly wrong with this company.

I logged in this morning and was getting almost b2b questions, about 10 of them. Then I got logged off. Dang it! I was so excited!
