Tonight has been great! The universe is fast and questions are flying. Did a lot of people really quit? I can't complain if they did b/c that is good for me!

I reccomend you all make Michael Phelps a keyword. I made him one today and have answered a 1000 questions about him tonight and they are really easy!

I saw that. Someone said in the forums that they're working on it.

That's a complaint for me -- they shouldn't post updates in the forums within threads like that. Why can't they put it right there in the Universe? For example, did you see anywhere but the forums that About.com is no longer blacklisted?

They said in the forums that the "daily" search counter only updates once a day...so you can search all day and won't see that number go up until the next day.

My heart is soooo not into it anymore. I would be into it if someone would explain to me why I didn't make Top Guide. I know I work my butt off on the answers.

The best way to check your search count is to go to My account and then click on the first tab Account where the pay me now button is - there is a view statement button there and when you click on it - it has a search count and shows the questions you have answered. If you write down how many searches you have at midnight on Saturday or before you start answering after midnight then you will have your weekly count. I cash out at midnight that way I have my questions for the week right there.

I have a question for you guys- I keep getting tons of the "Who is..." questions, all for random, regular people (aka not celebrities.)

For example, "Who is Michael Smith from Portland, OR?"


I have no idea how to even answer those! Most of the time, it takes me forever to even find anything on them, and even then, there really isn't any information to give, kwim?

What sites do you all use for these types of questions?

I have to be honeest sometimes on those Who is *** Smith? I ask for a middle name & say there are several. If I get a "who is" & no location I ask for the location.
If all the info is there & I am stuck. I try searching the area school records. It is usually a kid. Sometimes I get lucky & I am able to find out their team name or postion. I comment on how many goals they had last season or their number. It takes time so I only do all that when I am slow.

There is a site called Zabasearch - go there and type in the person's name -odds are that there are multiple people (it gives city and birthdays) so I ask them to clarify the person's age or location. Then hopefully the next guide links back to my search and can give them an address or find something else on them. If Zaba comes up with nothing then I go to myspace or google. Sometimes you just have to say that you can't find anything.

The thing I hate back is when I get one and they say "that isn't me" or its my dad and that isn't him...it takes everything in me not to post a self help book on finding yourself or a link to a paternity testing site and saying something like I didn't realize you were trying to find yourself -this book might help.

I like the self-help suggestion- there are so many times when I just want to reply with a sarcastic question, but I try and control myself, lol.

Thanks for the suggestions on the people searches- I always struggle with those, and my times always seem to be 5 minutes + on them.

I like using pipl dot com for people searches. It searches Zaba, white pages, MySpace, Facebook - the whole web. Only once have I had a person not show up with SOMETHING on pipl!

I think I got asked 20 times last night what he was listening to on his ipod..

the other big ones - had he already swam, and how many races does he have left, where is his dad and does he have a girlfriend.

He is swimming tonight twice - between 10 & 11 - if you log on then - just about every question will be about him! I made a lot of money last night on questions about him during that hour!

can someone explain to me how the current week searches counter works? it says "as of 08/14" but it's missing 98 searches! i read the announcement that says it updates at 4 a.m. each morning, but when i signed off last night, i'd done 500 searches (and the money is in my account to prove it!) but the counter says 402. so when it says 08/14, does it actually mean YESTERDAY morning?

I am missing searches too around the same amount. I went to bed with 1300 & when I got back on only had 1117, but they said I had 244 searches so far for this week.
I don't get it at all. Even if I subtract the 244 from the 1300 I don't get 1117. Did they pulll that out of a hat?
I also don't get why the amount they say I have is estimated. It seems to be taking forever to increase. I worked all day for only $5? Something is wrong!
I don't think this whole thing makes sense it seems too complicated to keep track of. It makes more sense to pay all the same & throw in a bonus now & then, than to switch up the pay every week. I'd rather have a guaranteed $.20 than a 1 in 25,000 chance at $100.
