Well, I took the simulator test today, and hope I did okay. I'm not very confident, though, as I believe I used wikpedia as a search, and guess you're not supposed to. Anyway, how long does it take until you hear how you did on the test?

Ugh, I have gotten 3 QC's in the last 4 days. And 2 of them are complete BS! I actually contested one I was so annoyed.

This stinks. I'm not feeling like I'll make top guide this next go round. Only possible saving grace is I've done a ton of searches, so I can afford a few negative marks. I think I'm over 500.

Scratch that, I was way off. I'm way over 800 searches!

i've got 775 searches as of right now for the week, but my current week searches counter says 607 "as of 8/15"....this sucks.

I have a question for you guys- I keep getting tons of the "Who is..." questions, all for random, regular people (aka not celebrities.)

For example, "Who is Michael Smith from Portland, OR?"


I have no idea how to even answer those! Most of the time, it takes me forever to even find anything on them, and even then, there really isn't any information to give, kwim?

What sites do you all use for these types of questions?

At the top of the quick links page there is a "people finder' button. Click on that. It has a collection of websites to use. I usually start with spock.

It usually isn't until a few days after the 15th that you zero out. Or at least that's what I read on the boards. I think their FAQs mention it's generally within 5 days. So it should be soon. I can't wait too. I'm at almost $800.

I'm showing 0 searches for my current week which is not correct. Is anyone else showing that?

The new "week" starts today, right? So I had 0 searches starting this morning, but it should update tonight (tomorrow morning) at 3 am or whatever time! Unless you did searches after midnight last night, but maybe they would have to be after the update time? Anyway, I expected mine to be 0 this morning because I didn't search after midnight last night.

And my search count was off this past week, but by Friday, it had been corrected - I'm guessing there was some glitch when they introduced the new search counter functionality. I sent feedback, never got a response, but then my numbers were fixed so it's all good.

I checked my count before logging off last night & it had reset to zero probably around midnight EDT. It still says zero today. So they didn't do the 3AM update? Maybe just a midnight?

i thought i'd throw this out for everyone: since the new pay scale and the big deal with the search counter, i've come up with a painless way to keep track of my searches. in underground under "my account" and earnings tab, it shows your total searches. i got a small, pocket notebook and i write it down each morning before i start working and each evening when i quit. i also make a hash mark for each search i do (you know..mark, mark, mark, mark, slash across). today, i have 125 searches and my total searches under the earnings tab are correct. easy way to keep track.
i got kinda weirded out when i signed on this morning and the search counter said 0. i know i did 150 searches yesterday, but it would've been nice to see them in the search counter before it zeroed out.
