Everything you've described sounds like you're taking the sim right now. I'd suggest putting yourself away and stopping for the night just in case.

If it's only showing 12 searches, then those are likely your simulator questions. When I first became a guide I started out with 16 searches b/c that's how many I did on my sim. The fact that you've been doing this evening and only show 12 searches definitely sounds like you're in the test. Not to mention the fact you're not showing a $$ amt. under earnings and it doesn't say "fully trained".

Oh and the smiley face and great don't mean anything. That's a throwback from the old ratings system.

ok then i guess ill wait for a response. ill keep my fingers crossed as i froze on my first question and it took about 8 min

Amanda, You probably should see if you can finish your SIM test. I think they have you answer 15 questions. Have you went back in and set you status to available? If so, have they gave you any more questions? Good Luck!

Someone was saying the new sim test was 10 questions, not 15. If that's the case, she's more than fine.
 
Think I got missed?


I took the test over a week ago and have not heard anything. Does anyone know who I would contact regarding this. No emails and when I log in It stills says training in progress.

I was up until 1am answering questions, I think I did like 50. I couldn't believe some of the questions I got. Whenever someone would ask "what did you do today" I would tell them about washing and waxing my car then find a link that explains the perfect way to wash a car.

A couple times the search would freeze but the clock would still keep ticking, what do you do when that happens? It was frozen for about 7 min.
 
Lately I've been getting a lot of questions from people asking for celebrities' e-mail addresses, phone numbers or home addresses. :headache: Why would they think we have access to that? My DD (bless her heart) isn't the brightest bulb in the pack, but even she knows that this stuff wouldn't be public knowledge. :rotfl2:
 
I need to vent! I am so frustrated with other guides who don't do their job and then I spend too much time trying to correct their mistakes. I especially hate when they don't use a proper link, so when I follow the link I land at up at either ChaCha.com or the links page!:headache: Okay, I feel better, thanks!:)

I totally agree!!! Last night I had someone text back looking for more info and the dang link led me to a bed and breakfast website. The questions had NOTHING to do with a bed and breakfast or anything nearly related to that. I was so mad I had to re-research everything!
 
I keep getting ones that say Thanks, Ok Cool, Good to know.

What do you put seeing you have to provide a link? :confused3
 
Is anyone else getting an error on the my account page? The one that shows your earnings and number of texts you've taken?

I keep getting questions, but without evidence that I am getting credit (paid)for them, I'm a little nervous.

Does it cost to use this service? I have free texting, but I don't want to be hit with texting surcharges
 
I am getting the same error message. I logged out for a while. Hopefully it will get fixed. It says to send feedback but you can't get to feedback. I really hope they fix it soon. I hate working when they are having server issues.

Its working for me now. And, I did get paid for the questions I answered while it was down.

It's free to use ChaCha. Only fees would be if you're charged by your provider for a text. If you have texting included in your plan, you should be good to go! :thumbsup2

I'm not having any issues with my account page. I'm on it right now and can see my earnings, no problems. :confused3

When was the system down? I was up really late last night(3am central time :surfweb: )and have done 103 searches so far. Why does ChaCha only show payment for 87 searches and they don't show in the history.:sad2:
That's gonna make it tough to get to the 1000 needed.

I ran into some of those weird texts last night too.:headache: I got some that the history was so pornographic/obscene from the guide-I'm not a prude but this was "conversational tasty" not referencing a topic.

Your sim test questions are counted in your 103...so you must have done 16 sim test questions. You don't get paid for those.

"1000 needed"... is that your goal or is there something I am missing. Do we get a bonus when we hit 1000? :banana:

People accepted as a guide after a certain date (can't remember what it was) are considered apprentices and receive .15 per question. In order to receive .20, you have to answer 1000 questions, be a guide for 3 months and have an accuracy score of around 94%.

I was accepted as a guide after the date, but it was shown that I passed my test before then, so I automatically am receiving .20/question.
 
Is the bank's website down or is it just me? I've been trying to access it all morning, but I can't.
