Go to the forums on the underground and find the thread that say "new guides look here" (or something like that) It has links to all the training material you will need. Read all those, watch the text video a few times, and you should be ready.

Ok, so I submitted my info to ChaCha on Tuesday afternoon. I still haven't heard back from them. All that I've done was filled out the "Become A Guide" page on their website. Should I resubmit my info, or just keep waiting?

I gave mine to them. If you are going to work for anyone as a contractor, they have to have your social for tax purposes. You will get a 1099 from them at the end of the year.

Not sure why they ask for it prior to taking the Sim, but maybe they want the ssn before they start making any payments.

I got all done with all the test then got a message can't use you at this time. Has anyone else gotten this? does this mean i won't be able to try again?

I got the same thing.I am terrible at math and I GUESSED the answers like an idiot and failed.I have resubmitted a new app with a diffrent email...

ChaCha was going crazy a few minutes ago. I was in the middle of answering one and the doorbell kept ringing, then taking me out to a new question, then flashing back to my one that I was in, then the doorbell would ring again. Weird. I closed out and logged back in.

Since I logged back in, I've had 2 questions come up and when I was in the middle of answering them, I get a popup that says "session terminated." Then my doorbell rings again and I get a new question.

I still have yet to take my sim test. I've watched the video a couple times and skimmed over the handbook once or twice. I think I'm just so worried that I'll fail it that I keep putting it off lol

I do have a question though. Do I absolutely need to pick the pay option BEFORE I take the sim? I don't want to go to the trouble of faxing or mailing payment papers since I don't have real access to a printer, unless I absolutely have to, ie passing the sim test.

I was able to do this afterwards. I answered questions last night and actually just printed and faxed my form over this afternoon.

I just have to vent. The questions today have been very difficult!! The last question I just had was this: How many registered utility companies in the USA serve 5000+ households each month?

How in the world do you find an answer for this? I ended up having to ask the IS what TYPE of utility he/she wanted to know more specifically about. I.e. gas, electric, etc. so that it could at least narrow down the search a bit. I think my source was energy.com or something official like that.

Would you have provided a better answer?

Wow that is a tough one! I am new to ChaCha...I would love to know the answer to that one too. I was so addicted last night...I didn't want to stop answering questions and I wanted to keep seeing my account balance grow. I finally did sign off though for fear of getting a question like that and barely being able to keep my eyes open!
