what is the steps in testing?
just how hard is the typing test? is it timed? can you fix your mistakes ( by backspace etc)

can you read ChaCha forums to read first before signing up??

No, you cannot read the ChaCha forums before signing up.

There is a typing test (you can backspace only the current word), company history test, and common sense test. All are timed. Then, a simulator test which simulates the actual work.

If you'd like more info, feel free to PM me.

Hmmm...I didn't have any of those tests to become a guide, just the 10 question readiness test. :confused3

Really? Can you tell me exactly what happened from signup to when you started guiding? I had heard they revamped it, but the people in forum said it was the same. I like to refer everyone I know, and I tried to give them as much detailed information about what to expect as I can. Thanks in advance!

I MADE TOP GUIDE!!!! Doing the happy dance now. By the way did you know that the world's largest pumpkin weighed 1,765 lbs. ChaCha for now!

I knew it would happen but it caught me off guard, the dreaded dead baby joke. I only passed my test yesterday. I signed on to make a few dollars and 3rd real question was, "Do you know any dead baby jokes?"

I answered it but from the more experienced guides, how do you handle that? What do use as a reply?

I'm off to read the forums and see what I can't pick up over there.

Thanks!!

No Problem - I filled out all of the preliminary stuff like the demographic and W-9 forms and then received an email message asking me to confirm my email. After that I received an email thanking me for registering and directing me to the training materials. There was a whole package of documents, videos, and fact sheets to look over and study. There was also a link on how to set-up your computer to work with ChaCha. After, I read through everything and felt that I had a handle on everything, I went to the readiness test link. I took the test, completing the 10 simulated questions. In less than 24 hours (most people report longer) I had an email in my inbox congratulating me on becomeing a ChaCha guide! :yay:

I know referrals and such through this site is not allowed --that is in no way what I am getting at.

I have a friend who I know would love doing this and would be good at it. I sent her the information and asked her to use me as a referral.
A few questions--have any of you done this? has it worked out OK? Is there a downside to referring someone? I want to be 100% sure the extra money I could make does not come from her payment, is that correct?
TIA

You are correct. She won't make less money because you refer her. You will make a little extra.

I have three referrals that I make extra off of. Sometimes as much as $10 a day! :cool1: BUT i know all of them. On is my sister, one my boyfriend (to help with the disney obsession I introduced him to :rotfl: ) and the third is a former employee of mine.

The only downside at all is, it makes it a little tougher when you are trying to keep track of you quantity during a contest. I usually count how many pages I have for the day and multiply by 15 to see how many I have done, since referral earnings are mixed in you have to keep track by hand. I wish ChaCha would find a way to seperate them.

If you use the joke finder quick link, you'll see a list for this category of joke. Gross, I know. I have more of a problem with the "tell me a racist joke." But, I just try not to take anything anyone asks me personally. :thumbsup2

I've got a great site for those questions: http://www.humorsphere.com/humor/anti-racist-jokes.htm

I use one of these for 'racist' jokes.

Anti Racist Joke
Q: Why is a racist like a drunk?
A: *** whatever they say ends in a slur.

Q: What's the difference between a racist's house and a porcupine?
A: With the porcupine, the pricks are on the outside.

Q: Why didn't the racist cross the road?
A: He was afraid of the other side.

Q: How does a racist pick his nose?
A: From the mail-order catalogue.

Hope that helps! :upsidedow

Thank you so much!!!:goodvibes

Yeah, right! I see your intentions:rotfl: (I'm kidding). Really, there's no downside to it. No money is taken from them, you just get 10% of what they make. I absolutely LOVE my referrals. I'm so glad a friend here told me about ChaCha, that when I went to sign up, I PMed her and asked her for her email so I could use her (She didn't offer it, I asked her).

So how many people have used you all as a referral? I have about 5 but 3 are active. They all make top guide and I've made $20 from them so far this week. :)

I have 3 active referrals, but one is going back to work full time, so she won't be ChaCha-ing anymore.

Is there an "Add-ons For Dummies" I can read through? If I understand things, add-ons can be helpful. I did find an add-on and downloaded it but I don't understand what to do with it now.

I'm letting myself get overwhelmed but I really want to be successful.

Thanks!!

I wish I could get a couple of referrals. It seems that people here don't know that they can do referals and no one I know wants to do it. Having a team would be awesome. I have thought about posting something on a bulletin board at the grocery or a local campus.

Would someone mind pming me with some info on chacha. I currently have a work at home job but am always looking for other ways to make extra $$. Never heard of this before :confused3
What is the testing like?
Is it just schedule to work when you can or are you on set hours?
Just some basic info about the job would be helpful! Thanks in advance!

I had an invite from Cha Cha Sept 12, but didn't pursue it, now when I click on the link it just says invalid. do I need to re-apply? Should I use a new email? Is there a limit as to how many times you can apply in a certain time period?

Ca I refer my dh and sign him up? do I get a % of his earnings?

Also, how do you get paid, I understand they load a debit card, is that correct? Thanks!

which payment method did everyone choose?

I sent an email to see if I can take the sim test for guide and they gave me the link to do that, but now when I log in it starts sending me expeditor questions! so I don't know how I can do the guide test now........i am going to email them again.
although i am having a little fun doing the expeditor.......its fast and easy, and I made almost $10 quickly........I just started doing it tonight.
