OT: ChaCha

I took my test and got 100%, 100%, 93% respectively. The site pooped out on me when I submitted my W-9, so I have no idea if they got it. I sent in a feedback, but have yet to hear back (I did it Friday night).

It then let me download the chacha toolbar, which jsut appears as a small box on the Firefox toolbars. When I try and log in, the second window (the universe maybe? ) always fails.

Should it start working if and when they pass me?

The second window leads to your profile, before they changed over it would go right to it. Now I just close it and on the main dashboard click on your screen name it will take you to your profile, you then log in and can edit, look at earnings, etc.

The tool bar should say ChaCha guide toolbar. You may need too make sure you uploaded the most recent toolbar. You probably did but you never know.

I tried the readiness test today & it took me an hour to get 6 questions...had to log off for dinner. I guess I'll have to try for the test another day. Sounded like a lot of people were having issues this weekend w/the test (according to the chacha fourms).

Glad to hear you are trying it out Jen!

I won a $200 contest and a $10 contest last week! Just in time for our Disney trip next week!

I made about 170 a week doing it for a few hours while I watch tv every evening.

I'm really excited about trying this out! I filled out the initial application yesterday (just the name, address, interests, etc. form) and I'm assuming they need to send me an email so I can start taking the tests you need to start working? How long does it take for them to contact you and let you begin the tests?

Thanks!

Finished up my simulation test yesterday morning, and I was just wondering when I should expect to hear back from ChaCha as to whether or not I am a guide now or not. I am really excited and want to get started.

Usually they email you within 24 hours to give you instructions for the tests. It took me about 4 hours to get the email.

I passed! I'm now a paid Guide!! I took the 10 questions yesterday, so it only took 24 hours to hear back :)

Well, taking the simulation now. I got 7 questions so far and its already been hours and I haven't gotten the other 3. What gives? Is it ok to log off and log back in and do the other 3 questions when doing the simulation test? I just hope that getting searches isn't this slow.

Hmm, it's been close to 24 hrs. and I still haven't gotten anything. When I submitted the form the first time, I got "error 500" or something like that from their website. I filled it out and submitted it again but it came up as a submission already done under that email. So I'm wondering if it went through or not?? Has anyone tried to sign up (the very first step) within the last day or so and gotten this error?

 Yea! I passed, I am now an official guide!

My question is, how are you getting paid? Do you have them deposit into your checking acct? Has anyone ever had a problem with this? Thanks!!!

A lot of people have been having trouble with the pay me now set up, the monthly payment options seems to work without any problems or delays. I like the monthly since my balance can build pretty high and I don't pay a fee to withdrawl my money. You pay $2.00 to transfer money to the debit card and then you might pay ATM fees to withdraw the money. Pay me monthly has no fees and the set up is much much faster for the first payment.

i've never had a problem with pay me now. i hit the button and it's in my FIB account within 2-3 minutes.

The pay me now seems to work great for those who already have it set up, but there have been many many reports on their forums of users who have been waiting months to get the pay me now button added, they have their card and pin, but ChaCha hasn't set up the button. That is the reason for Ester's blog about payment issues today.

Hello, this is all very new to me. Biggest question, can you do this in Canada? If so, I then have more questions ;)

I'm going to try Miranda! You've given me inspiration!! I can't believe how much you can make! I'll try doing the simulation test Wed night (can't before)...hopefully I'll pass & be able to start working!! Thanks for the info on the site!!

Arrrghh  this is driving me crazy. I am still getting "Error 500" when I try to sign up. I've tried three different email accounts and three different web browsers, and nothing will go through. I sent off an email to ChaCha, do they respond to their emails, or is there a phone number I could call for assistance? This is very frustrating, I just want to start taking the tests!
