Hoping to take the trailer to the toronto area for a few days and check out Canada's wonderland. I've stayed at the KOA at Cookstown and enjoyed it just wondering if anyone else had a hidden jem. Thanks Kathy

Hi Digskat,

If you check under the Canada's Wonderland website, accomodations, I think it was called Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park. If I was a camper, I would stay there! Discounted tickets as well! TTFN :flower:

We stayed at Jellystone Park in 2003. It was nice, clean, had a nice pool, but very, very expensive! We paid $65. per night! I think the regular price is $58. and they charged $3.-$4. extra per child. We also had the "Indy 400" (cause it's the #400 Hwy :teeth: ) happening with transport trucks going all night long. We were o.k because we were in tent trailer, and I could turn on a fan or something for white noise, but it would be very noisy in a tent. We found a nice private campground just before we were leaving, if I can remember the name I'll post it.

ETA: The campground was called Leisure Time. It's in Palgrave, which is approx. the same driving distance as from Jellystone Park, maybe 5 minutes more. It is between Jellystone and Wonderland, but it is down a side road.

Don't you mean in a CAMPER hahahaha

:rotfl: That would be nice, equipped with central air and a full bathroom! That would be my ideal camping trip!

At first I thought you were looking for somewhere near Toronto so I was going to suggest Bronte Creek provincial park. We were there this weekend with our 2 dgrdd's and it was nice. It is listed under the provincial parks website. It is at the QEW and #25 in Oakville.

Has anyone stayed at www.emerald-lake.com ? If so how far a drive to Wonderland the website it does not look too far. Thanks Kat

Another vote for Bronte Provincial Park. It is great but it is not close to Wonderland...about 40 minutes away. It is a good park located in Oakville/Burlington..

According to Mapquest, it is about 50 miles, so that would be 75-80 kms. They estimate driving time at 1hr 20mins. Looks like a really nice place though!

It is up north of us. It would take more time getting to Wonderland from there than Bronte Creek.

We live about 30 minutes from Bronte Creek park and will be camping there this weekend. Using the 407, it's likely only 45 minutes to Wonderland from Bronte. Blessings ~ Sandra
