I have 4month old B/B frat twins and starting to look for a double stroller, I have already decided that I for sure want a side by side.

Just wondering what you other mommy's of twins are using? What do you like about your stroller and dislike.. pros and cons..

I have been researching the Joovy Groove2 , the City mini/micro and the Twin McLaren?

Any input would be great! :) TIA!!

I found I needed 2 (actually 3 if you count the triple). I had a double jogger for neighborhood walks, and a combi twin savy for the van - with twins, you need a stroller everywhere - can't just plop a baby on your hip!

you didn't say if you liked your combi??

Any other Twin mommy's out there that loovveee there side by side??

I had the Maclaren Twin Traveller (I say HAD b/c my DH ran over it in the garage :headache:) and really liked it. I don't have twins but I had a newborn and a 22 month old and needed a double stroller. It made one trip with us to Disney and it was great there (the girls were 2 and 4 at the time).

There are some things I would consider looking back on it though....do your boys need a tray to put their snacks and sippy cups? I didn't think about this and the Maclaren didn't have a tray but it worked out fine for us. What kind of car do you have and how compact do you need for the stroller to be? The Maclaren folds up relatively small for a double stroller (still not real small but in comparison to others it's not bad).

Good luck!

I don't have twins, but I have two LO's that I got a side by side to use for trips to the zoo, children's museums, Sesame Place, Disney, etc. Normally my 3yr old doesn't go in a stroller any longer, but in places that he has to walk a lot, it's nice to have it for rests.

I have the Chicco Trevi Twin and am very happy with it.

Pros: folds small, full recline, turns on a dime, nice size basket for each seat, reasonable price

Con: Skimpy sun canopy, but I bought the sun canopy extenders that they sell at BBRU made by Kiddopatamus.

HTH

My frat twin boys are now 17 months... A good stroller is a MUST!

I have three strollers that I use interchangeably:

- front/back peg perego stroller (hand me down)
I currently use this the most because the boys have a tendency to bite/hit each other right now. With the front/back, they can't reach each other. Plus, it makes shopping a bit easier b/c I can get between the aisles.

- Combi Twin Sport
I use this for travel. It has a great fold and good features. I LOVED it when they were young. There is a hidden fabric "boot" that overs the bumper bar so that the babies can both be secure and won't fall through. It's hidden under the seat pad and folds away when you don't need it. The new model has one big storage basket instead of the two, little useless ones mine has.

- Baby Jogger City Mini
I love the fold of this stroller and it's great for the twins overall. I couldn't use it when they were younger (rated for 6 months plus). The seats are great and nearly fold flat. It has really great sun shades too. I use it for longer walks b/c it seems like the babies are most comfortable in it. I wish it had a parent console, belly bar, snack tray, or other "holder." If I buy all the accessories, it'd be ovr an extra $100 on top of the price.

If I had to buy just one stroller, it'd probably be the Combi Twin. The compact fold, carry strap, reclining seats, and everything else just make it the most ideal for me.

Of course, I'm always o the look out for a new stroller.....

I have 28 month old Boy/Girl twins and I had a Mac Twin Techno that I hated and the kids hated too. They just didn't seem comfortable.

We now have a Baby Jogger City Double and we all love it! It is a little big for stores, but otherwise it's great. I find just having the 1 stroller easy!

Thanks guys! Keep them coming :)

Is the city double the same or bigger than the city mini/micro??

There are soo many strollers out there it's hard to know which one is best! There are pros and cons to all of them I'm sure!

Loved it! It had cup holders that could be used for snacks, and held up well (it was used a lot!).

The City Double is just a touch bigger than the mini/micro. The biggest difference I see is that the wheels on the mini/micro are much smaller and make a big difference when pushing. We love the regular City Series Double we have!

not a mom of twins, but two kids of similar size, we love love love the citimini double; very easy to maneuver, not too wide, extremely comfortable, easy to steer even one handed with just one child riding, and best of all, good to 100 lbs, so you'll get loads of use. Like pp's said, the sun canopies are, imho, the best in the business. overall, just totally awesome stroller.

Mom of 15mo b/b twins. I've had my share of strollers. ;)

I currently use two different doubles for them, depending on where I am going: Baby Jogger City Mini and the Peg Perego Aria Twin

Baby Jogger City Mini Pros:
Love for walking...works great for bike paths, gravel, and grass, very easy to push, awesome canopies, folds very easily, high weight limit (my DS5 can ride comfortably in it and I can barely tell it's him on one side). Not too heavy for a double. Fits through doorways easily. This stroller feels very sturdy. Also, my twins can not reach other and pull hair or bite one another in this one! :thumbsup2

BJCM Cons:
Keeping this stroller closed is a real pain in the butt, IMO. The wheels have to be just right or it doesn't fold very flat. It has a strap, but it seems just to hard to use. We took this stroller to Disney last year and DH didn't like it much on the busses...he carried a "bungy" type cord to strap it all up, which was kind of a pain. The basket is decent sized but it is kind of a pain to get to, especially when the seats are all the way reclined. My twins don't always like how they are reclined, even in the most upright seat position, the seat is somewhat reclined. Lastly, you have to buy all attachments separately, parent console (Which I highly recommend getting two! :thumbsup2), the belly bar, the trays, the kids organizer, you can easily get at least $600 or more wrapped up in this stroller.

Aria Twin Pros:
Lightweight, compact, folds/unfolds easily. Great canopies (at least my newer model does...I guess older models did not have good ones). Carrying handle, (DH loved that last week on the Disney busses)! Full recline. Front trays (not huge, but plenty of room for snacks). Plus my boys love sitting and holding on to the trays. This was one of the only side by sides I could find that had trays on a side by side, and the only reason I didn't buy a Maclaren. This stroller pushes great on pavement or in the mall. It has straps that they call freedom straps, for the most part I really like these since my boys LOVE being able to sit up and look around, but you really have to make sure you use the hook on the back of the seat when putting them in or they tend to twist and can be a pain to get them in. It has a decent sized basket but you can't put anything real heavy in it.

Aria Twin Cons:
No parent cupholders/tray, but I bought one from Sunshine Kids that works great. The basket should be more sturdy. Sometimes when you are trying to get through the doorway the wheels turn and it is hard to push through. The brake is kind of tricky, it is a handbrake that takes some getting used to (at least it did for me). You can't push this stroller on grass or gravel, but that isn't what I bought it for and knew that beforehand.

Oh, one more thing about the Aria, the new model is a 60/40 seat split, so one side is a bit bigger to fit an infant seat, but I never used it for that. I don't mind it that way, once the boys are in it you can't even tell, but maybe it would bother some people.

I love both of these strollers and would recommend either one! HTH!

I am a mom to b/b twins who will be 14 months old when we go to Disney in March. I was wondering the same thing! We have a Peg Perego Duette stroller now (which I love) but obviously will be too large and bulky for traveling. Sorry I can't offer any recommendations but thanks for everyone else's reviews!

Thanks again everyone for all the helpful reviews! Thank you for such a great pros and cons list :) there really is just soo much to think about, I only want one stroller b/c this is for sure our last babies and don't want to have different set of strollers for different things... I want a good quality stroller from the beginning and hope it lasts!

anyone else out there love their side by side??

anyone know anything about the Zoooper Tango??

bumping one last time??

interested if anyone else has a city mini??? there seems to be some great reviews out there, but alittle worried that it might be too reclined still even in upright , that they might not like? but thinking maybe I could just "prop" up with a blanket if an issue??

TIA :)
