I wonder how many "Grownups" have been bribed with a trip to the World. I know we use that tactic with our kids sometimes.
I am under-going treatment for breast cancer. Yesterday at the doctors I was told I would need another surgery--I have had 2 in 2 wks.) My husband in his sweet way said "if you are a very good girl we can plan the next trip to Disney in Dec.". He knows how caught up in planning I get, it will really be a distraction for me. I plan on being a VERY good girl.

when I was going to school (getting my BS) and working full time. I definitely would bid myself with trips to Disney. That was when I brought DVC....

got my BS too - finally it took me years and years....

Umm, I've never been bribed, but I am currently trying to bribe my husband into go to WDW with my DS and all of my family next month. Everything is ready for the rest of us, but he doesn't want to go (he's never been and thinks 2yo ds is too young). He told me this weekend he's still considering it, but he wants to work a deal, oh boy! :)

Wow if family is going the two of you could slip away for some "couple" time. I think 2 is young but he will still enjoy it. He just remember it. Aha..another excuse for a trip back when he is older. Do you see where I'm going with this.

Well, I helped my parents move from WA State to Orlando. My Mom was working at WDW, so she couldn't drive with my Dad and the cat, and didn't want him to be alone. So they paid for my airline tickets and my food, I already had my AP. I loaded, drove, and unloaded moving trucks, and I got 2 weeks at WDW out of it.

DeborahA, Yeah, I know he won't remember it but I really wanted to take him for the 50th Anniversary. Plus, I think the pictures of his face will be priceless and I know I'll remember it forever. That's partially why DH hasn't yet been convinced to go. I told him it would be great, we've already got a babysitter and everything. I'm sure I'll whine him into submission. Soon, I hope as we're going in less than a month now! ;)

In my household we don't call that bribing but "positive reinforcement". :lmao:

I think a Disney cruise would be excellent reward for being such a good girl. Good luck with your treatment, and I wish you well in your recovery. :thumbsup2

Thank you Lisa!! You made me laugh today--I will have to work on your suggestion! :sunny:

Best of luck on your treatment and recovery...

A Dear friend of mine has been thru the battle and she said "At least after reconstruction, I'll never sag!"....and..."I get to pick my new size, I want Perky!"
you get to add..."I'm going to Disney World!"

I will be sending good thoughts and pixie dust your way!

Thanks Dorys twin. I am planning on immediate reconstruction--A TRAM flap.
I will get a tummy tuck out of it--and I'm going to Disney World!!!

Best Wishes and A Quick Recovery. You deserve it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What a wonderful husband you have. You are blessed.

God's blessings to you Deborah!

I am currently bribing myself. I am a CPA and I specialize in tax work for trusts and estates. I have a counter to my next Disney trip on my computer and I have promised myself extra treats and fun if I can just make it until next Monday without maiming anyone. :rotfl2:
