We are going to Busch Gardens Williamsburg for a week's vacation next week and I am wondering if anyone who has been has tried to bring in food and bottled water. Officially their policy is the same as Disney - no outside food or water allowed, but I am wondering if they enforce it. We will be traveling with a 2 year old, so bringing snacks is important!

We always bring in bottles of water, crackers, cheese, trail mix, muffins...etc. they have never said anything. As long as you are not hauling in a cooler you should be fine. If you buy a souvenir cup water refills are always free and soda is around a dollar. The cups I think are around $8. We have used the same one for several years running.

we go pretty regularly as we are Platinum pass holders and we have never had any problems bringing in little snacks, so long as your not bringing a cooler full of food.. especially with a little one. We have brought small snacks, bottle water, etc in the little one's stroller.. hardly give it a second look.

DW friend's son has massive food allergies and she woudl bring in full meal for him. They did give her a hard time at the gate, but after she explained that to them, they let her go with it.

Are you just going to BG or to the Waterpark as well?

Hi, just like everyone else I visit Busch Gardens often. I always bring small snacks for my girls. You are allowed to bring in water bottles and if you have small children you are allowed to bring in bottles and baby food. You can also get free ice water throughout the park just by asking at any drinks stand.

Check out Williamsburg-insiders-guide.com for some other great information about Williamsburg. There is a ton of information about Busch Gardens.

If you are planning to go to Water Country keep in mind that don't let you bring any food into the park but they have a picnic area and the park is small enough that you can go to your car and picnic and then return without much problem.

I went to Busch Gardens a couple of weeks ago! So much fun...you should be able to get water and small snacks by them no problem.

We went for a week last summer and loved it!! If you belong to AAA check their prices for tix. We were able to get a 7 consec. day pass to BG/WC for about $70. We had such a great time and kids still talk about Hubba, Hubba Highway in WC. :cloud9:
We did a day trip to Va Beach and had a great time there too.
Sorry I can't answer your orig. question; we bought food at the parks.
Have a great trip!!:thumbsup2
