Fun things to do in Burlington with kids 4 and 6? We have friends that recently moved out there, and we'd like to make it a mini vaca. Anyplace nice to stay?

The vermont teddy bear factory is fun but doesn't take that long to do, if you head down to Shelburne the mueseum is great, my girls enjoy it they are 6 and 4. In the fall one year we went on a wagon ride at Shelburne Farms which was also fun you can see them make cheese. Me and my husband love to wander Church st in burlington. We don't usually spend the night in Burlington because we camp on Lake CHamplain so I can't help you there.

There are tons of hotels near Burlington and in burlington. Shelburne as you go into burlington and there is also Essex Junction (maybe a little cheaper since it is next to it but not in it). Just google the area or your favorite kind of hotel (comfort suites, holiday inns, etc.). I am with the other poster, go to Shelburne museum (so cool, bring picnic lunch too), there is an aquarium near Lk Champlain waterfront as well as rides on the lake on big boats (with lunch if you like), Chocolates (I think its Lake Champlain Chocolates) factory.

Have fun, I go to my dad's in Stowe plus I have lived on Lake Champlain and in Underhill now I am in the sticks of PA!

Things to do would really depend on the time of year you plan on visiting. I second ben & Jerrys/ There is also Stowe which is great.
