Does anyone have any ideas or experience with cleaning the backing from a bath mat off a ceramic tile floor? I believe this is a result of the rug getting soaked from an incident in the tub and then we never hung it up. We've thrown the rugs out and now are trying to get the floor cleaned up.

This is our first floor with ceramic tile so I wasn't sure if I needed to take extra care or anything.

TIA!

If it left a sticky residue, you could try goo gone with a soft cloth. If not, a normal bathroom cleaner. I would probably stay away from an abrasive scrubber of any kind.

I second the goo gone suggestion. Also, maybe use an ice scrapper like you'd use on your car windshield or an old credit card to scrape it off once you put the goo gone on and let it sit for a few minutes.
