OT Baby Update 2

Ellie want for her second fortnightly scan today and thought I'd update you all.

Anti-D levels are down

Baby is 5lb 2oz with 6 1/2 weeks left to go (they are supposed to double in size in the last four weeks)

Mum is doing really well

Baby is definatly still a boy

Thank you all for your prayers and over the past few weeks, it's certainly working

Saying that, they thought that Lottie would be about 6.5lb and she came out at 8lb 8oz!!!

That's great news !! So glad everything's going well. Hopefully, baby won't really "double in size" over the next few weeks?! 10lbs 4 oz?! Ouch lol. It was bad enough for me, and my two were 6 lbs 11 oz (Louise) and 7 lbs 2 oz (Adam). What did Kacee weigh at birth?

yup - usually the next is larger!!!
mine were - finlay 8lb 8oz (born at 37wks) and cayden was 9lb 7oz (born at 38wks). as u can imagine - am so glad they didnt go to terms as theyd be nearly 11lbs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

did reply on facebook - but another yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay that all is going well!! means that if he is early (which is pretty much gonna happen) hell be a good size regardless - both mine were fine, in fact, cayden had minor jaundice and he was 'later' than fin!!!

positive vibes still coming ur way - am gettin excited for birth announcement and name of kacees new baby brother!!!!

That's great news, even if he comes early he'll be fine, although obviously the later the better. My daughter was only 5lb 12oz when she was born at 39 weeks!

Great Great news!!! Nice size as well

My two were small but then again I'm on the smaller side so can't expect them to be huge. Mia was less than 6lbs (don't know in pounds exactly, I do kilos) and Anya was a bit less than 7lbs. 10/11lbs size baby for me would be a killer

Absolutely fabulous news, really pleased for you and your family.
My children only went up in ounces from 7lb 2ozs - 7lb 6ozs to finally my son at 7lb 14ozs, I can only shudder at a nine pounder!!!

Really pleased things are looking up

Re the weights, yes second babies are usually larger but they often guess incorrectly with the scans! They told me DD1 would be 9lb ish - she was 7lb 4oz and they said DD2 would be 8lb ish - she was 9lb 13oz (ouch!).
