OT: ATT Hotspot

I changed my ATT plan to one that includes a hotspot. My DH's phone has the hotspot option (iphone 8). My phone (iPhone 11pro) has no option for the hotspot. It does not appear anywhere in settings. I called ATT and am waiting for the call-back (long wait). But thought I would ask here in the meantime. Anyone here ever have the hotspot option totally disappear?

(Yesterday I had the hotspot option but it was not active. So I updated to the new IOS 14 thinking it might help. After the update the hotspot option totally disappeared.)

ETA: ATT fixed by sending an update to my phone.

Have an Android ATT plan and could never get the hotspot to work either. It shows up in certain phone menus as I recall, but have never been successful in getting it to working when traveling out of town. I give up on calling any of the 800#'s for IT related subjects. Usually get some offshore call center when the person has NO idea what you are asking and can barely speak English. End up spending a lot of time in a frustrating conversation with someone who appears to have no knowledge/training to answer such questions. They appear to read from a standard script, but are rarely able to provide any useful information. If I can't figure it out on my own, I just stopped trying to use that feature.

ATT just fixed my issue by sending an update to my phone. It was an easy 30 second fix.

OK good to know. My phone is a couple of years old and the usual answer is that version doesn't work with.......LOL.

When I got a new car last year, I couldn't get bluetooth to work. Car dealer said it was my phone and the phone people said it's the car.................go figure.
