I purchased a Noritake pattern at an auction and decided I didn't need/want the broth cups (double handled tea cup). I contacted Replacements, and they gave me a number. Well, the shipping would have cost more than what they were offering me for the cups. Needless to say, I still have the cups. I frequent auctions, and, yes, china goes extremely cheap. The set I got cost me $70 - it was an incomplete service for 12 with some beautiful serving pieces. I purchased it for the platters, vegetable bowls, and square dessert/luncheon dishes. Well worth the $70.
Is your pattern still in demand? Was it popular when you picked it out? I would try Craig's list or maybe an ad in the paper. I personally don't think Replacements is the way to go.
